摘      要:By irradiating (60)Coy-rays to solutions with argon (Ar) or carbon dioxide (COL), it is confirmed that the potential of electrode under gamma-rays shows a sharp reduction during an early period and that concentration cell is formed to give potential difference (PD) between electrodes with and without exposure. When Ar is purged through solution, the absolute value of PD shows a linear relation with dose rate (R) on log-log scale [equation (9)] whereas there is not a good correlation between PD and R in the solution with CO2. In the light of concentration cell thus formed, some concepts are preliminary discussed to control the adverse effect of radiation-enhanced localized corrosion taking place in nuclear power plants.
