摘      要:In this paper, an overlapping domain decomposition method for solvingthe exterior boundary value problem of plane elasticity equation by using naturalboundary reduction is discussed. This method is effective especially for problems overunbounded domains. The geometric convergency is proved. The theoretical results aswell as the numerical examples show that the convergence rate of this discreteSchwarz iteration is independent of the finite element mesh size, but dependent onthe frequency of the exact solution and the overlapping degree of subdomains.
