摘 要:Spatial information networks (SINs) is a backbone communication network composed with on-orbit multiple satellites and satellite constellation, which is able to provide integrated communication services to various spatial tasks. SINs has several characteristics such as long transmission delay, high Bandwidth Delay and high Link BER. The traditional TCP could not be directly used in SINs environment. For this case, a reliable and TCP-compatible transmission protocol, named as STP, was proposed for SINs. STP improves the transmission capability through enhanced algorithms of slow start, congestion avoidance, fast retransmission and recovery. Experiments were also carried out to validate considerable performance improvements of STP against TCP and prove its adaptability in SINs. © 2013 ICIC International.
