摘      要：Electromagnetic wave propagation through grooved waveguides is studied using the finite element method (FEM). The effect of grooves of irregular shape on TE10, TE20 mode frequencies and passband is studied. The variation in cutoff frequencies for TE10, TE20 mode and passband is observed.
