摘 要:The role of corrosion management or monitoring in optimizing plant operations is discussed. The collision monitoring methods are grouped into cumulative loss techniques, and corrosion rate techniques. The latest technologies such as SmartCET, use on-line, real-time electrochemical corrosion monitoring to help correlate corrosion with processes and plant operations. By integrating on-line monitoring with process information management systems, operators and engineers can view in real-time corrosion data along with other important process parameters like flow rates, pressures, and liquid levels. The real value proposition lies in achieving process optimization by keeping corrosion to minimum while maximizing equipment uptime, and production rates.
