Biochar production and mixing in soil are seen as the best options for atmospheric carbon sequestration,not only providing simultaneous benefits to soil,but also opportunities for distributed energy generation.A number of methods can be used for producing biochar,and production of bio-oil,gas and biochar from pyrolysis of biomass is considered a promising technology for combined production of bioenergy and carbon sequestration. Thermogravimetric analysis of the biochar was made on a high pressure high temperature ThermoGravimetric Analyzer,The complete setup is manufactured using corrosion resistant materials,and the application of a magnetic suspension balance enables experiments to be carried out in a large temperature and pressure *** the sensitivity of the balance is checked and calibrated during the experiments automatically because of the fully automatic,regularly checking of a reference measuring point which eliminates any drift of the baseline of the instrument.
