Aim To investigate the features of hepatitis B virus(HBV) whole genome quasispecies and mutations in patients with different infection spectrum. Methods Forty-one treatment-naive HBV infected patients were included in the present study and divided into acute hepatitis B group(AHB,10 cases),asymptomatic carriers group(ASC,10 cases),chronic hepatitis B group(CHB,11 cases) and chronic severe hepatitis B group(CSHB, 10 cases).HBV genomes were extracted from serum samples,full-length fragments were amplified by PCR and cloned into *** to sixteen clones per sample were sequenced randomly.
