Objectives: Our study was designed to investigate the relationship between levels of T lymphocytes cytokines and prognosis in children immune thrombocytopenia (ITP).Materials and methods: We enrolled ITP patients at the onset of their disease without any treatment from our department between December 2011 and March *** samples measurement by cytometric bead array included IL-2, IL-4, IL-6, IL-10, TNF, IFN and *** following up for 1 year, all the enrolled patients were divided into 3 groups according to the remission time: Newly-diagnosed ITP Group, Persistent ITP Group and Chronic ITP *** compared levels of cytokines among 3 groups and found risk factors for progression of the ***: There were 54 patients enrolled, 41 (76%) formed Newly-diagnosed ITP Group, 6 (11%) formed Persistent ITP Group, 7 (13%) formed Chronic ITP *** of cytokines were not significantly different among 3 ***, medians of TNF, IL-10 and IL-17 measured in Persistent ITP Group were the highest and IL-4, IL-6 was the highest in Chronic ITP ***-2/IL-4 was the lowest in Chronic ITP *** might be one of the factors participating in the prolongation of the disease to more than 3 months (P<0.05, OR 1.087), while IFN might be an indicator of a better prognosis (P<0.05, OR 0.911).Conclusion: In this study, we found Th2 polarization at the onset of disease will probably have a deferred course and worse *** and IFN might be indicators which could predict ultimate duration of children ITP.
