Objective:To evaluate the prevalence of people who achieve the target range of HbA1 c,BP,and LDL cholesterol(ABC) among people and factors associated with achieving levels of ABC ***:The nationwide survey was conducted in 50 medical centers from April to July of *** information and ABC levels were measured in 5961 patients with type 2 ***:32.9%had hemoglobin A1 c <7%,26.3%had BP<130/80 mmHg and 45.1%had LDL<100mg/*** proportion of people who achieved the recommended ABC target was only 5.6%.Cigarette smoker, hypertension and insulin user may be the predictive factors of overall ABC ***:Diabetes individuals who smoke, have hypertension, and use insulin were less likely to attain all ABC targets.

Objective:To compare the effects of 2 different modalities of exercise on metabolic control, insulin resistance, inflammatory markers,pre-diabetic outcome after 12 weeks of training among patients with ***:112 patients with prediabetes mellitus were assigned to 3 groups of training(3 times a week,50 minutes per session).Glucose control, lipid profile were measured at baseline and at the end of the ***:Compared with the aerobic group, resistance exercise had greater reduction in fasting blood glucose, postprandial blood sugar, fasting insulin, greater more improvement in HOMA-IR.3,7,1,reversed to normal in resistance, aerobic exercise, control group ***:Resistance training may trend to affects glycemic parameters,HOMA-IR.

Chronic diseases like diabetes frequently include distress in response to the burdens of daily management, frustration over failure to achieve management goals, and anxiety regarding risks of long term complications and health *** addition to distress closely related to the disease and its management, psychological problems like depression are more common among those with diabetes than the population in general, may complicate disease management, and may, themselves,be made worse by the *** and psychological problems are a normal part of the clinical picture of *** care teams, including nurses and patient educators can address distress and psychological problems through a variety of strategies including referral for specialty mental health care, basic counseling by members of the care team, and general assistance in self management that often leads to reduced diabetes and psychological *** shows that both psychological problems and diabetes are affected by a range of factors, from genetics to community *** these may reduce occurrence and extent of psychological problems and *** support is a strategy that can help with some of the community and social factors that influence psychological problems and *** can help individuals find community resources, connect individuals to each other, help individuals adopt healthy lifestyles, and provide social and emotional support that can reduce stress, distress and psychological *** with both diseases like diabetes and psychological problems like depression are more likely to require avoidable treatments like *** indicates peer support can reduce the distress and psychological problems as well as the avoidable hospitalizations that often accompany them.

Aims/hypothesis:To investigate the rate of anemia in Chinese type 2 diabetes patients, and whether anemia is associated with an increased risk of renal disease progression,as well as the interaction between anemia and glomerular filtration rate(GFR) on renal disease ***:This was a longitudinal study.1645 Chinese type 2 diabetes patients without end stage renal disease(ESRD) were recruited to the Staged Diabetes Targeting Management Study in Nanjing,China during Jan 2006 and Dec *** patients were managed by Staged diabetes management protocol, and clinical parameters were collected at each *** endpoint of progression of renal disease was evaluated during the *** regression analysis was used to estimate the risk of anemia and GFR on renal disease ***:On recruitment,350(21.3%) patients had anemia, which was more common among those with older ages, longer diabetes duration, lower estimated GFR(eGFR) or more *** median follow-up of49 months(inter-quartile range:28-62 months),37(2.2%) patients developed the defined renal *** to those without anemia, patients with anemia had a higher risk of renal disease ***,patients with both anemia and eGFR less than 60 ml/min/1.73m at baseline had the highest ***,multivariate analysis revealed that anemia at baseline lost its statistical significance once eGFR was added into the *** addition, although the incidence of renal disease progression markedly increased by anemia status in patients of eGFR less than 60 ml/min/1.73m,anemia was not an independent risk factor for renal disease progression in this ***/interpretation:Anemia was a common finding in Chinese type 2 diabetes *** was a risk factor for renal disease progression but lost its significance once baseline renal function was adjusted, indicating that anemia had a significant interaction with baseline eGFR.

Objective:To evaluate the level of glycemic management among diabetic patients in 11 communities of Nanjing,China, and to assess the possible correlations with unsatisfactory glucose control,so as to improving glucose *** Design Cross-sectional study(2011-2013).Subjects:A total of 2454 community-dwelling Chinese patients with type 2 diabetes were included(mean age,65.17y;64.6%male),recruited from "5+1"Diabetes Community Management Research[This work was supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China].Measurements All data were collected once patients were willing to participate in our community management research, including glycosylated hemoglobin(HbA1c)status(obtained from a central laboratory)and glucoselowering treatment *** between not achieving glycemic target and potential factors were tested using bivariate and multivariate ***:Of 2454 patients extracted,55.26%initially achieved the target of HbA1c<7%.The mean HbA1 c,systolic/diastolic blood pressure, low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-1C),total cholesterol(TC)and triglycerides(TG)of the enrolled patients was 7.13(±1.58)%,129.76(±14.69)/77.14(±9.16)mmHg,2.66(±0.90)mmol/L,4.74(±1.14)mmol/L and 1.72(±1.46)mmol/L *** both bivariate and multivariate analyses,male,FBG,LDL-1C,TG and increasingly complex antidiabetic treatment programs were significantly associated with HbA1 c ≥7%.However,it was found that smoking, drinking, diabetes duration,BMI,waist circumference and systolic blood pressure were significantly associated with not accomplishing the glycemic target only in bivariate ***,in male patients,BMI and LDL-1C were significantly associated with HbA1c≥7%,but not so in female ***:The glycemic control of diabetic patients in Chinese communities of Nanjing was *** our consecutive Diabetes Community Management Study, corresponding interventions can be applied to those factors that can be influenced,in order
