The molecular characteristics of third instar larvae(L3)of Hypoderma,***,*** and *** collected from various regions in China,were analyzed using the most variable region of the ribosomal 18S rRNA and the mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase I(CO I)gene *** the experiments,these L3 were identified by the morphological characters and then the genomic DNA was *** gene sequences were amplified by polymerase chain reaction(PCR)using specific primer for 18S rRNA and COI gene,*** results showed that the 18S rRNA and CO I gene segments were roughly 1827bp and 1250bp in this study,*** phylogenetic trees were constructed and the percent divergences were also determined based on the 18S rRNA and CO I gene sequences of Hypoderma species collected from China and in *** results showed that the intraspecific variation of ***,*** and *** were less than 0.2%,and the interspecific differences between *** and ***,*** and *** and *** and *** were more than 1.6%,1.2%and 1.2%,respectively,based on the 18S rRNA gene *** the intraspecific variation of ***,*** and *** were less than 1.5%,0.9%and 1.2%,and the interspecific differences between *** and ***,*** and *** and *** and *** were more than 9.3%,9.9%and 6.7%,respectively,based on the CO I gene *** indicated that the target genes of not only COI but 18S rRNA could be used to differentiate the three species of Hypoderma,***,*** and *** results are coincident with morphological analysis,which offer evidence defining *** as a valid ***,*** was considered as that just infested the yaks in high mountainous regions of *** a sample *** L3 was collected from the cattle,which means *** also infested cattle not only yaks.
