Interactions between insects and plants have played an important role in the development and co-evolution for both insects and *** evidences of fossil insects implicated for consuming pollen, pollination-drops or related fluids or visiting ovuliferous reproductive organs for Mesozoic gymnosperms are found in fossil *** northeastern China,a high number of fossil insects and plants with broad diversity and excellent preservation have been studied and reported since the mid 1990'*** example, two studies on dipterans and mecopterans with long proboscides implicated for pollination of gymnosperm plants have been published in Science. In this paper,we review reported fossil insects from Late Mesozoic of northeastern China and identify those with potential pollination or "flower" *** addition,we also carry out a preliminary survey of coeval fossil plants from the same locations and present potential plant candidates which might have been involved in insect interactions. Further studies in the future will be carried out to identify direct evidences of pollination and flower "visits" in the fossils of these potential insects and plants.
