The genus Dipteronia *** endemic to China,and consists only two species,*** Oliv. and *** *** this study,two chloroplast DNA intergenic spacers,rp120-rps18 and trnV intron, were employed to analyze genetic diversity and phylogeographic pattern of this genus.A total of 19 haplotypes were detected in 90 individuals from 18 *** high levels of haplotype diversity(h=0.716) and nucleotide diversity(P=0.007) were detected in Dipteronia *** analysis revealed that the majority of the genetic variation was partitioned among populations within *** *** *** *** molecular phylogenetic data suggested a strong phylogeographic pattern(N=0.802,G=0.499,N > G;U=0.25),in line with the geographic distribution of the *** on relationships among haplotypes(most parsimonious tree and the 95%plausible network),the mismatch distribution analysis and neutrality tests,we conclude that restricted gene flow with isolation by distance and allopatric fragmentation should be responsible for the present distribution pattern of Dipteronia Oliv.(Aceraceae).However,we found no evidence for population expansion in either *** *** *** *** addition,we inferred multiple localized glacial refugia around Sichuan Basin(in ***,*** and the south edge of Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau).

Multi-locus population genetic analyses allow inference of population history and evolutionary *** are of special interest in this aspect because they inhabit intertidal zones where dramatic changes in population size happened in ice age due to sea level fluctuations and intense selective pressures. Sonneratia alba is one of the most salt tolerant mangrove species which occurs in low intertidal *** this study,we chose five populations of *** from western and eastern coasts of Thailand for population genetics *** each population,we pooled 50 individuals and sequenced 60 genes using Illumina GA *** with Qionghai and Sanya populations in China we examined before,populations in Thailand had higher level of diversity and the diversity in western populations was 5 folds as high as that in eastern *** were 12 moderate or high differentiate genes with Fst >0.1 between two populations from western coasts of *** eastern coast of Thailand,only 5 genes showed moderate or high differentiation between populations in Chi-ya and *** were 12 low-divergence sites between the two populations from western coast of Thailand,as 3-fold many as those between the two populations from eastern coast of *** from eastern coast of Thailand exhibited closer relationships to populations from Hainan than those from western coasts of *** study indicates that marginal populations of *** experience stronger bottleneck and possess less genetic diversity than those in central *** is high genetic differentiation between populations from western and eastern coasts of Thailand,suggesting Malay Peninsula functions as a strong land barrier for gene exchange.

Pedicularis L.(Orobanchaceae) comprises approximately 600 species,primarily distributed in high-altitude montane ranges of the North Temperate *** limited species were sampled in previous studies,phylogenetic relationship within the genus is not resolved *** this stdy,a comprehensive phylogeny of Pedicularis was reconstructed using 194 Pedicularis taxa(208 accessions) representing all 13 groups and 70 series(the system of Tsoong in 1955-1956) on the basis of the nuclear ribosomal ITS marker nad the chloroplast trnL-F *** phylogenetic analyses support monophyly of the *** well-supported clades are found on the Beyasian inference tree using combined data,and only groups Cyathophora and Polyschistophyllum,and eight series are strongly supported as monophyly. Dendropanax(Araliaceae) is a genus of about 75-80 species disjunctly distributed in tropical to subtropical Asia and the Neotropics,showing an amphi-Pacific tropical *** phylogeny of the genus was constructed with the sampling of 95 accessions representing 33 species of Dendropanax and 43 closely related taxa employing sequences of the nuclear ribosomal internal transcribed spacer(ITS) region and six plastid regions(the ndhF gene,the trnL-trnF region,the rps16 intron,the atpB-rbcL intergenic spacer,the rp116 intron,and the psbA-trnH intergenic spacer).Phylogenetic analyses of the combined plastid and ITS data suggested that the monophyly of Dendropanax was not supported because the Asian D. *** clade did not group with the main Dendropanax ***,the maximally parsimonious trees(MPTs) from the analysis constraining Dendropanax as a monophyletic group were only one step longer than the unconstrained *** New World and the Old World Dendropanax except *** and *** each formed a robustly supported clade,and the two clades were sister to each *** on biogeographic analyses and fossil-calibrated Bayesian dating, Dendropanax was hypothesized to have originated in the Old World and migrated into the New World via the North Atlantic land bridges in the early *** amphi-Pacific intercontinental disjunction of Dendropanax was dated to be 41.83 mya with a 95%high posterior density[HPD]interval of 28.46-56.15 *** crown New World clade of Dendropanax was estimated at 27.43 mya(95%HPD;17.56-38.47 mya) and the crown Old World clade was dated to be at 24.92 mya(95%HPD;14.75-35.65 mya).The diversification in Central and South America was perhaps driven by the uplift of the northern Andes and the rising of the volcanic islands between South and Central America in the late *** diversification in the Old World was centered in southern China and Indochina,corresponding to the active orogenie
