This paper proposes a volume function data model to describe heterogeneous attribute field inside of *** volume function data model is on frame of vector boundary model,sub-partitioning geology body,which is required to describing heterogeneous attribute field inside of geology body,into a series of adjacent and non-overlap sub-volumes,then,fitting volume function for these sub-volumes,these functions should C1 or C2 continuous between same stratum,discontinuous between different ***-coordinate is suggested to used in fitting volume function for *** volume function for tetrahedron volume coordinate has been given in the *** volume function forms and fitting method are studing in the authors work.

The existing risk assessment of dam-break in Barrier Lake affected by highly changing and complex environment,have some many restrictions such as low-information,distributed data and *** paper mainly focuses on the construction of the collaborative workflow system,which supports the cooperative risk assessment and impact analysis of dam-break in Barrier *** risk assessment flowchart of dam-break in Barrier Lake was firstly analyzed,and its collaborative workflow and the dynamic group control mechanism were also *** the design idea of the risk assessment system was discussed in *** its framework was ***,a collaborative risk assessment system is implemented for collaboration on risk assessment of dam-break in Barrier Lake based on *** experimental results show that the scheme developed in the paper is efficient and *** can improve the efficiency of the emergency response of dam-break risk in Barrier Lake.

Three land dimensional development and utilization become the trend of urban planning in current *** paper presents a method for building a three dimensional cadastral management system from surveying plans with *** concentrates on the geometric representation and topological consistent maintenance of 3D cadastral *** this system a complete topological model is built to express the body construction and spatial relationships among 3D property *** is used to automatically construct 3D model with attributes and thematic information from 2D surveying *** topological relationships and operations are analyzed with the programming and development of Ruby *** resulting system can manage the 3D cadastral objects and manipulate them with spatial operations to support spatial analysis.

This paper describes a framework for modeling interdependencies between different network systems and building *** provides an approach for integrated analysis of interior building utilities by describing a framework to model and simulate infrastructure interdependencies and their complex *** is a graph-based spatial model which can support use cases such as providing the location and specifications of interior utilities to a technician who wants to perform a maintenance *** location could be needed for maintenance or replacement,or to investigate the result of damage to the building structure on another utility networks,or to estimate the effect of different maintenance operations in different locations along utilities service *** model accounts for two important aspects:firstly,the relationship between interior utilities and building elements or spaces and secondly,the building hierarchy structure to which the utilities network is related.A proper hierarchy of the building is developed that supports the generation of human-oriented descriptions of interior utilities,where a method for partitions of large building element and spaces as well as a method to reference network element to other building are impeded *** connection of the different utilities network systems and buildings are generated using joints,which are based on a containment *** example is presented which shows the effectiveness of this approach for supporting maintenance operations,as well as the independences between the maintenance operation location and the other network *** paper presents the data model and explains the links with current 3D building model standards.

Tragic disasters in cities(New York 9/11,London,Prague) have clearly revealed that the existing indoor navigation approaches such as navigation based on 2D geometries and pre-defined routing remain insufficient for a successful evacuation ***,delivery companies experience problems of getting oriented in large office buildings with facility managers spending extra time for locating utility failures inside *** insufficiencies caused by existing navigation approaches can be overcome by using semantically rich intelligent building models for indoor *** indoor navigation process requires the use of a number of interrelated models of buildings for the calculation of navigation paths,visualization of the navigation,and for assisting the actors in the *** research indicated that primal and duals of geometric and topologic representations of buildings need to be constructed for fulfilling the indoor navigation modeling *** this paper,we present a novel Building Information Model(BIM) Oriented approach for defining a building model for supporting indoor navigation,and later introduce a BIM Oriented Indoor Data Model(BO-IDM),which benefits from the best properties of IFC BIM and CityGML for supporting indoor *** approach chosen in defining the model was BIM Oriented Modeling,which focuses on preserving the most semantic aspects of the BIM while adapting the GIS concepts in geometric representation of the building *** paper explains the BIM Oriented Modeling methodology used for the definition of this new model and describes the transfer of information from a standard BIM into the *** results of the research indicate that the BO-IDM carries the potential of facilitating emergency response operations by overcoming,i.) the limitations of geospatial and city models regarding representation of semantic information required for navigation and ii.) the non-geo-referenced structure and complex ge

Fires disasters provoke great destruction of high valuable environments and eco-nomical losses,especially when they are located in urban *** usage of Virtual Reality Simulator to support the training process of fire fighters and managers has two main advantages:i) it supports the simulation of scenarios like big city fires that could not be simulated in the real world ii) it reduces the accident risks as users are trained to experience situations as ’alike’ as possible to real *** success of the Virtual Reality Simulator depends on how close to reality the simulation process is;it also requires the integration of heterogeneous data sources like maps and *** these aspects are met in this paper by a careful management of Semantics in the information *** are useful firstly to have a better model of the fire fighting process and a better adaptation of the simulation environment to the user *** are useful secondly to facilitate the integration of data from heterogeneous *** work discusses and presents some preliminary results about how Semantic can enhance Virtual Reality Simulators in the fire fighting context.

Tree models play an important role in reconstructing 3D *** makes a 3D scene full of *** paper proposes an automated method for tree model generation from mobile laser scanning data(MLS).This research work started from single tree *** model reconstruction is performed in two steps:tree parameters detection and tree model *** tree parameters contain the position of tree,the diameter and height of trunk,and the relative number of *** to the distribution of profiles of the point clouds in 2D view,points are grouped into one profile while their slopes and interception are *** endings of profiles of the trunk points are obtained for trunk diameter *** detection of the trunk height is carried out by calculating the length of each profile and comparing with the truck *** interface in 3ds Max is constructed using Maxscript code for tree parameters settings and resulting model *** shape,size,color and normal of the leaves can be varied according to different tree *** tree model not only preserves its shape,pose and species but also holds original 3D *** realizes the real meaning 'reconstruction'.

Methods for feature detection in laser scanning data have been studied for decades ever since the emergence of the technology. But it is still one of the unsolved problems in LiDAR data processing due to difficulty of texture and structure information extraction in unevenly sampled points. The paper analyzes the theory of Laplacian of Gaussian (LoG) Filter and its potential for structure detection in LiDAR data. A feature detection method based on LoG filtering is presented and experimented on the unstructured points. The method filters the elevation value (namely z coordinate value) of each point by convolution using LoG kernel within its local area and derives patterns suggesting the existence of certain types of ground objects/features. The experiments are carried on a point cloud dataset acquired from a neighbourhood area. The results demonstrate patterns detected at different scales and the relationship between standard deviation which defines LoG kernel and neighbourhood size which specifies the local area is analyzed..

CityGML,the OGC standard on 3D City modeling,is widely used in an increasing number of *** defines five consecutive Levels of Detail(LoD0 to LoD4 with increasing accuracy and structural complexity),in which LoD3 includes all exterior appearances and geometrical details and requires much storage *** our work,a new LoD is introduced as shell model which is exterior shell of LoD3 model,and the opening objects like windows,doors as well as smaller fa?ade objects are projected onto *** this paper,a user survey is *** shows that shell model can give user almost the same visual impression as the LoD3 *** further,algorithms are developed to extract shell model from LoD3 *** show that shell model can reduce up to 90% storage of the original LoD3 ***,it can be used as a substitute of LoD3 model for the visualization on small display on one *** the other hand,it can be treated as a sub-level of detail(SLoD3) in CityGML,since it keeps almost all the information amount but requires much less storage space.

3D (three-dimensional) process simulation is currently one of the most challenging fields of research on debris flow. Large scale terrain rendering is the most basic task of 3D scenery construction in debris flow simulation. As the major trigger for debris flow, rainfall will substantially enhance the realistic sense. Terrain and rainfall rendering in 3D debris flow simulations poses great challenges for numerical computation and graphical processing capability. In this paper, we propose to integrate GPU technology, LOD algorithms, and particle systems to realize 3D scenery modeling and rendering. The real-time LOD-based terrain modeling and rendering algorithm is presented first, and then a particle system-based rainfall scenery rendering method is implemented. Experimental results demonstrate that the 3D scenery rendered with the proposed approach exhibits sound performance and fair visual effects, which lays a solid foundation for the whole process simulation of debris flow disasters.
