Formation of AGEs is increased under the consistently elevated levels of sugar and dicarbonyl *** compounds present in tea can trap dicarbonyl compounds and inhibit AGEs *** this study we investigated the effects of Pu-erh tea on production of AGEs and on development of diabetic nephropathy in a type 2 diabetic mouse model.
