In this paper,the effect of different concentration of La(Ⅲ) on the activity and distribution of horseradish peroxidase(HRP) in plant mesophyll cell was investigated by the combination of transmission electron microscopy(TEM) technique and peroxidase *** results from the experiment are as follows:firstly,the low concentration of La(Ⅲ) affects the subcellular localization of HRP in which the distribution sites of HRP in the cell was changed by La(Ⅲ),and promotes the activity of HRP and acting as activator,but it does not affect cells ultrastructure;secondly,under the high concentration of La(Ⅲ),the subcellular localization of HRP was obviously changed and the distribution of HRP in the cell wall was increased rapidly,the activity of HRP in the presence of the high concentration of La(Ⅲ) is inhibited,leading to destruction of plant cell.
