Autophagy is an evolutionarily conserved mechanism in both animals and plants,which has been shown to be involved in various essential developmental processes in *** tabacum is considered to be an ideal model plant and has been widely used for the study of the roles of autophagy in the processes of plant development and in the response to various ***,only a few autophagy-related genes have been identified in tobacco up to ***,we identified 30 autophagy-related genes belonging to 16 different groups in tobacco through a genome-wide survey.

Cystatin is a group of small proteins and known to inhibit the activities of cysteine proteases in C1A and C13 peptidase families in *** family genes have only been well-characterized recently in a few plant species such as *** and ***,which show their critical roles in programmed cell death and responses to biotic *** to now,little is known about cystatin family genes and their role in Oryza sativa,a model plant for cereal biology ***,we identified 11 cystatin genes in rice *** expression profile analysis reveals that cystatin family genes in rice display diverse expression *** are temporally regulated at different developmental stages during the process of seed production and germination.

The effects of graphene on the germination and growth of rice,rape,tobacoo and tomato seeds were *** were treated with graphene solutions at different *** delaying effects on the germination rate were observed with the increasing of graphene *** better understand the effects of nanomaterials on plants,tobacco seedlings and graphene oxide were used as research materials for detailed *** tobacco seedlings were treated with 0 mg/L and 20 mg/L of graphene *** indicated that 20 mg/L of graphene oxide had a significant effect on the tobacco roots *** with 20 mg/L of graphene oxide resulted into shorter seminal root length than control samples after 20 days treatment.

Helix-loop-helix/basic helix-loop-helix(HLH/bHLH)proteins are involved in transcriptional networks controlling a number of biological processes in ***,little is known on the roles of HLH/bHLH proteins in cotton(Gossypium hirsutum),especially in fiber development,so *** this study,we identified a HLH/bHLH gene(designated as GhFP1)in ***1 protein is localized in the cell nucleus,and functions as a transcriptional activator in ***1 promotes cotton fiber *** fiber length of the transgenic cotton overexpressing GhFP1 was significantly longer than that of wild type.

Kinesins comprise a superfamily of microtubule-based motor proteins involved in essential processes in plant development,but few kinesins have been functionally identified during seed ***,kinesins that regulate cell division during embryogenesis have yet to be *** we report the functional characterization of NtKRP,a novel motor protein of the kinesin-12 *** is predominantly expressed in embryos and embryonic *** RNAi lines displayed reductions in cell numbers in the meristematic zone,in embryonic root length,and in mature embryo and seed ***,we show that CDKA;1 binds to NtKRP at the latter's phosphorylation sites and that the decreased cell numbers in NtKRP-silenced embryos are due to a delay in cell division cycle at the G2/M transition.

人类特发性基底节钙化(idiopathic basal ganglia calcification,IBGC)是一类神经变性疾病,患者大脑基底节部位常对称出现主要成分为羟磷灰石的钙化斑块,其临床症状包括肌张力障碍、共济失调、痴呆以及抽搐等.2012年,刘静宇教授等成功...

人类特发性基底节钙化(idiopathic basal ganglia calcification,IBGC)是一类神经变性疾病,患者大脑基底节部位常对称出现主要成分为羟磷灰石的钙化斑块,其临床症状包括肌张力障碍、共济失调、痴呆以及抽搐等.2012年,刘静宇教授等成功定位并克隆出了IBGC的第一个致病基因***20A2编码的蛋白质是人类Ⅲ型Na+/Pi转运蛋白中的***2在人体全身均有表达,在基底节部位表达量较高.然而SLC20A2突变如何导致IBGC发生尚不清楚.SLC20A2在果蝇中的同源基因为CG42575,本实验室拟利用果蝇这一经典的模型研究CG42575在果蝇生长发育过程中的功能以及其突变引发钙化的生理机制.利用免疫染色我们观察到CG42575主要在果蝇的神经系统中表达分布.神经系统特异性敲减CG42575的果蝇在生长达50天时,我们通过石蜡切片和Von Kossa染色在果蝇大脑外周的脂肪细胞中成功检测到了钙化.通过UAS-GAL4系统在果蝇全身以及神经系统特异性敲减CG42575表达量时,果蝇成虫寿命延长;而增加其表达量时,果蝇成虫寿命缩短.CG42575功能完全缺失的果蝇胚胎期致死,而当在神经系统特异性敲减CG42575的表达时,果蝇幼虫的发育出现延迟.综上所述,CG42575在果蝇幼虫神经系统的发育中起着必不可少的作用,成虫中CG42575表达量的降低反而会延长果蝇的寿命.成虫神经系统中CG42575功能下调时会导致细胞对Pi的吸收产生障碍,胞外堆积的Pi以羟磷灰石的形式发生沉积,钙化与寿命之间的关系还有待进一步的研究.

Di19(drought-induced protein19)family is a novel type of Cys2/His2 zinc-fimger *** this study,phosphorylation assay demonstrated that cotton Di19-1 and Di19-2(GhDi19-1/-2)proteins could be phosphorylated in vitro by the calciumdependent protein kinase(CDPK)in a Ca2+-dependent *** of serine(Ser)site in N-terminus of GhDi 19-1 and GhDi 19-2 led to the altered subcellular localization of the two proteins in ***19-1 and GhDi19-2 overexpression transgenic Arabidopsis seedlings displayed the hypersensitivity to high salinity and abscisic acid(ABA).

Recently miR-520 family has been reported as an important microRNA in inhibition of tumorigenesis and development of various types of solid *** miR-520 family target and inhibit important tumor-up-regulated genes such as CTHRC 1,NF-κB and TGF-β,but the negative correlation between miR-520 and these genes in bladder cancer are not *** the presem study,miR-520 expression level of bladder cancer samples or cell lines are too low to be detected by real-time PCR,comparing with significantly highly expression ofmiR-520 in adjacent normal *** investigated the expression of microRNA-520 and CTHRC1,NF-r,B and TGF-β,but poor negative correlation between miR-520 and these genes was found,but TPD52L3,a highly expressed gene in tumor,is also highly expressed in bladder cancer samples.

Since the quality and yield of rice production depends on endosperm development,previous studies have focused on the molecular mechanism that regulates this developmental ***,how this process is epigenetically regulated has become an important ***,the gene expression analysis and screening imprinted genes during early endosperm development remain challenging since the isolation of early endosperm has not been ***,we report a procedure for the isolation of endosperm at 24 or 48 HAP(hours after pollination)during the free nuclear stage of endosperm *** technique allows for rapid and convenient collection of pure free nuclear *** endosperm RNA can then be extracted from the isolated endosperm cells using *** results showed that the quality of RNA is satisfactory for gene expression analysis and screening the parental-of-origin specific genes in early ***,we offer a reliable method to overcome one of the major obstacles in the investigation of the molecular mechanisms of early endosperm *** approach can be used for accurate gene expression analysis and screening of imprinted genes,and facilitates the confirmation of endosperm-specific gene expression at the very early stages of endosperm development.
