In this paper by concatenating Bayesian neural network and Hopfield time-alignment network, a speaker independent isolated word recognizer is proposed. In this system, the Bayesian network outputs the a posteriori probability and serves as a Bayesian classifier. The Hopfield network is then concatenated for the time-aligument as an effective alternative to traditional DTW algoritbm. A proposed splitting LVQ algorithm derived from the LBG clustering algorithm and Learning Vector Quantization (LAQ) algorithm is used to train the Bayesian network. This splitting algorithm is unsupervised and suitable for unknown probabilistic source description. The LVQ2 algorithm is used to refine the Bayesian network well trained by the splitting LVQ algorithm. A continuous mixture of Gaussian densities for each frame and multi-templates for each word are employed to characterize each of word patterns. Experimental evaluation of this recognition system with 4 templates/word and 5 mixtures/frame, using 53 speakers (28 male, 25 female), each speaking isolated words (10 digits and 30 city names) 10 times, gave average recognition accuracy of 97.3% for speakers trained mode and 95.7% for speaker independent mode, respectively.
苏印泉，男，1954年1月14日生于陕西省白水县，大学文化，中国共产党党员。1976年毕业于西北农业大学林学系并留校任教，1982～1984年在日本岩手大学大学院学习并获研究生结业证书。历任西北林学院助教、讲师、副教授、教授、硕士生导师。曾兼任西北林学院外事办主任、林学系总支副书记、系副主任、主任及资源学院院长。苏印泉教授现任西北农林科技大学林学院院长,兼任国家林业局重点实验室主任，西北农林科技大学学术委员会委员。 苏印泉教授留学日本两年期间，主要从事苗木体内水分循环机理及裸子植物叶部亚显微结构解剖学方面的研究工作，先后四次出席日本林学会举办的学术会议并发表学术论文2篇。回国后，先后5次随国家林业局、陕西省经贸委、省林业厅等组织的代表团出访日本及泰国；1997年被日本大学聘请为“客座教授”，并就《中国野生植物资源开发现状及展望》、《杜仲药用价值及历史渊源》、《中国的“药食同源”》等题，为该大学有关教师、研究生及大学生作了专题报告。 作为一名大学教师，苏印泉教授除了为本科生、硕士生担任《森林培育学》、《观赏植物栽培学》、《混农林业》、《专业日语》等教学工作外，还先后主持、参加“七五”、“八五”国家重点科技攻关项目《黄土高原综合治理定位试验研究》、国家林业局重点研究项目《杜仲优树返幼及快速繁殖方法的研究》、陕西省科技推广项目《紫阳县农业综合技术集团承包》等各类研究推广项目13项。获国家林业局、国家教委、陕西省政府等各类奖13项，其中省、部级一等奖1项、三等奖3项；撰写论文28篇，在国外杂志上发表论文5篇；参编教材5部，合著和译著著作3部，其中德语版的《木本植物大百科全书》与国外专家合著出版。1997年主要由他组织，在西安成功地举办了“首届国际杜仲学术研讨会”，为我国杜仲的产业化发展奠定了良好的基础。 苏印泉教授还曾兼任咸阳市第一届青联委员，现兼任陕西省农村经济发展研究中心“特邀研究员”、中国林学会杜仲研究会理事、杨陵区人大代表、渭南地区林业局顾问组组长，陕 西 省经济发展总公司等企业顾问，一直在为地方经济发展做着大量的咨询和服务工作。 近几年,苏印泉教授的研究方向主要集中在林木抗旱生理机制研究、植物旱生性叶部解剖、杜仲研究及产业化开发、混农林业等方面,并一直与国外专家保持着业务联系，进行学术交流活动。此外，在引进国外杜仲产业化项目方面也做出了成绩。 苏印泉教授不仅在教学及科研方面工作富有成效，而且坚持8年在国家级贫困县从事科技扶贫工作.《安康日报》、《陕西日报》及《中国林业报》等曾先后报道了他的先进事迹。苏印泉教授多次被评为学校“教书育人先进个人”；1993年获国家劳动人事部和国家教委颁发的“全国优秀教师”证书；1997年陕西省政府授予他“陕西省先进工作者” 称号；1998年被原国家林业部评为“有突出贡献的中青年专家”。 Professor Su Yinquan’s Resume Su Yinquan,male,was born in Beishui County,Shaanxi Province on January 14th,*** is a member of the Chinese Communist Party with a college studying *** graduated from Northwest Agricultural University in 1976 and stayed there as a teacher *** the duration of 1982 to 1984,he studied abroad in a Japanese university,Iwate University,and gained a postgraduate certificate in the *** the field of teaching,he has acted as an Assistant,a Lecturer,a vice Professor and a Professor as well as a Tutor of Graduates in Northwest Forestry *** positions he has held in the college include Director of Foreign Affairs Department,vice Director of Partys Branch of Forestry Department,vice President and President of Forestry Department,and President of Col
