Weed detection is a key problem of spot spraying that could reduce the herbicide *** information of plants is very useful to detect weeds in real-time for the fast response ***,the cost of an imaging spectrograph-based weed detection system is too ***,the main objective of this study was to explore a method to classify crop and weed plants using the spectral information in the visible light captured by a CCD *** approach to weed classification was to directly use of G and R component of RGB color *** was to utilize the spectral information among the green band that hue was regarded as wavelength,and saturation was represented as *** result of statistic analysis showed that both of them using the G-R and H-S optimized segmentation line of crop and weeds could be used to detect weed(lixweed tansymnustard) from wheat ***,the method of using the H-S optimized model could avoid the affect of lighting.

Most of expert knowledge in agriculture is descriptive and experiential,so it is difficult to describe in mathematics and build decision support system(DSS)for ***,the decision support system(DSS) for greenhouse constructed of data warehouse and date mining technology was introduced in this *** the system,data warehouse was founded to memory diversified date,the using of on-line analytical processing and date mining enriches knowledge base with new agriculture *** of system adopted SQL Server analysis,as a result,tightness coupling of data warehouse,date mining and application,improved efficiency of date *** data warehouse with on-line analytical processing and date mining to construct a novel DSS.

Agro-ecosystem plays a crucial role in conserving biodiversity,sustaining ecosystem functions and processes,and maintaining land productive *** order to effectively manage agro-ecosystem,the planners and government agencies are increasingly seeking better tools and *** this paper,we describe the development of a Web-based resources and environment information system(FREIS),which helps to set up agricultural policy to improve productivity level and resource utility efficiency in terms of yield stability evaluation *** system design involved four steps,the first was to set up a system platform for FREIS,then a spatial database was developed for analysis,after this the evaluation model was established,and lastly a Web-based interface with analysis tools was developed using client-server *** provided a valuable technical scheme of the intelligent and comprehensive agricultural information *** potential of a Webbased information system for agro-ecosystem management and challenges for its development was discussed.

A novel control system for variable rate fertilizer application based on CAN bus is *** system consists of variable rate controller based on DSP,ground speed sampling unit and light-bar guidance *** units form a control area network based on CAN *** variable rate controller collects signals of GPS position and ground speed,and calculates the conveyor feed shaft rotate speed according to the prescription map stored in local *** the variable rate application can be realized through PID control of the shaft rotate ***-bar guidance unit helps the operator to steer the machine moving by equal spacing parallel passes for less overlap and missing in *** effectiveness of the developed system is confirmed by the experiments using the communication protocol special for the application based on CAN bus.

Traditional water-saving irrigation management turns on water pump in a settled interval decided by grower's *** method just saves water on the back of losing *** order to result the problem,a kind of greenhouse efficient irrigation management system based on Evapotranspiration has been *** system includes greenhouse environmental monitoring subsystem,irrigation analysis subsystem,control methods,can instruct users to irrigation greenhouse through quantitative calculating greenhouse crop water *** system has been examined in greenhouses of ShengFangYuan Test Station in Beijing,China;the result shows that the system can instruct greenhouse irrigation efficiently,increase yield 18%,and save water 28%.

Fish expert systems have been developed to solve the fish disease diagnosis ***,despite these inherent advantages,there are some limitations yet in the application of the systems because of the poor infrastructure and low capacity for the use of computers.A Call Center-based consultant system for fish disease diagnosis has been developed to overcome the difficulties,and the objective of this system is the automation of fish diagnostic process based on call center via the *** paper explains the needs for the consultant system,the fish disease diagnosis process and the development of the *** system structure and its components are *** can provide the accurate and timely diagnosis,prevention and treatment all around the clock and everywhere the fish sites are *** experience and the further development of the system are also discussed in the paper.

The purpose of this research was to develop a kind of light bar parallel guidance system based on DGPS for small agriculture *** system consists of field computer,light bar and *** field computer is developed using PC/104 CPU module,running on which the embedded realtime operation system was customized by a special development *** chip and CAN controller was selected for guidance light bar design,which use a row of indicator LEDs to guide *** computer and guidance light bar communicate with each other by using CAN *** guidance software running on the field computer was designed in object-oriented manner by integrating embedded GIS development ***-testing and experiments have been done to evaluate the accuracy of the system with Trimble AgGPS132 under different speeds,application width and light bar sensitivity,and the average of offline distance was 0.4517 *** show this kind of guidance system is suitable for small-size machinery and can meet the need for parallel swath guidance for different kinds of field operation.

Digital photography is a promised method for estimating the fractal characteristics of leaf *** this study,the effects of different threshold levels and image processing methods using Adobe Photoshop software on the fractal dimension values were examined from a digital photo of nectarine *** results showed that the nectarine leaf vein has typical fractal characteristics and its fractal dimension increased linearly with the increasing levels of threshold.A larger value of fractal dimension was calculated from the image processed by dark strokes,and a smaller value by accented edges or desaturate.A positive relationship was found between the calculated values of fractal dimension and the black coverage in the ***,it should be cautious to choose threshold levels and image processing methods when processing a digital image for calculating the fractal characteristics of leaf veins.
