蜈蚣藻属(Grateloupia ***)隶属于红藻门(Rhodophyta),隐丝藻目(Cryptonemiales),海膜科(Halymeniaceae).对2009年2月5日采自于海南省陵水新村的海膜科蜈蚣藻属标本HN20092088的外部形态、内部结构进行详细观察,并对其rbcL基因序列进行分析,结果如下:(1)藻体紫红色,软骨质,直立,单生,高约5-7cm,宽约4-6cm,主枝里圆柱形,2-3回叉状分枝,小枝互生,基部具柄;(2)藻体的横切面观:藻体由皮层和髓部组成.外皮层由3-5层卵圆形细胞组成,内皮层由5-7层圆形或椭圆形细胞组成,髓层由单条丝体细胞组成,髓丝纵走或错综交织;(3)从该种基于在rbcL基因序列的NJ系统树中的位置,看出该种在蜈蚣藻属中是一个独立的分支,但它和链状蜈蚣藻(***)以及繁技蜈蚣藻(***)聚在一起,成一单系统,说明三者的亲缘关系最近.故确定其为蜈蚣藻属新种,命名为陵水蜈蚣藻(Grateloupia lingshuiensis Wang et Luan ***.).
