Enhanced biological phosphorus removal (EBPR) is an important industrial wastewater treatment process mediated by polyphosphate-accumulating organisms (PAOs).Members of Accumulibacter, known as PAOs which assimilate large amounts of phosphate that are stored intracellularly as polyphosphate, are one of the most extensively studied ***,Accumulibacterhave not been isolated as pure culture *** phylogeny of Accumulibacterhas been resolved to the strain level by sequencing the polyphosphate kinase gene (ppk1),which currently groups Accumulibacterinto two major divisions (type Ⅰ and Ⅱ) each with multiple subdivisions (clade ⅠA-ⅠE,ⅡA-ⅡF).Members of different Accumulibacter clades are often enriched through changes in reactor process *** our work, the culture of Accumulibacterin full nitrification/denitrification lab-scale EBPR bioreactor, which is different to most other laboratories, enables us to gain several different Accumulibacterin one bioreactor at the same time and some of them have been identified as novel *** order to verify the result of the clade identification ofppk1 genes,we also extracted core genes(pan single-copy gene)of 10 genomes, with each genome representing one clade,to constructa robust core gene phylogenetic *** result of core genes is consistentwith ppk1 ***,the identification of new clades is reliable.
