AIM Through culturing cardiac myocytes of neonatal Sprague-Dawley rats in vitro, observe the effects of resveratrol (Res) on cardiac myocytes exposure to high-glucose(HG), and then explore the possible *** Ventricular myocytes were isolated from neonatal rat and *** cells were divided into three groups: normal-glucose (NG, 5.5 mmol· L-1)group, the HG 30 mmol·L-1 group, and the HG + Res (50 μmol·L-1) *** cell viablity was calculated by CCK8 *** activity of LDH and the fluorescence intensity of ROS were determined by biochemical *** and FCM detected the rate of apoptosis; Bcl-2 and Bax protein expression were measured by Western *** Compared with NG group, the LDH level and ROS generation increased significandy in HG *** could inhibit the releasing of LDH and attenuate intracellular ROS generation, ***, HG induced apoptotic cell *** decreased the apoptosis evidently through up-regulating Bcl-2 and down-regulating Bax proteins *** It seemed that Res could reduce cardiac myocytes apoptosis exposure to *** underlying mechanism may be result from its capacity of scavenging ROS and up-regulating the ratio of Bcl-2 and Bax ratio.

AIM To study the effects and mechanism of Diaoxinxuekang on hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) injured cardiomyocytes with a serum pharmacological *** Prepared the serum containing Diaoxinxuekang (600 mg· kg-1) with serum pharmacological *** derived from neonatal rats were cultured in Dulbecco Modified Eagle Medium (DMEM).The cardiomyocytes were injured with hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), and treated with the serum containing different concerutration of *** survival rates of cardiomyocytes was measured with MTT *** content of malondialdehyde (MDA) and lactate dehydrogenase(LDH), and the activity of total superexide dismutase (T-SOD) and catalase(CAT) were *** The survival rates of cardiomyocytes injured with H2O2 for 2 h were decreased significantly compared with normal cells (P <0.01).The content of MDA and LDH were increased significantly, but the activity of T-SOD and CAT were *** treated with the different concentrations of drug-containing serum, the survival rate were increased with a dose-dependant manner (P < 0.01).The content of MDA and LDH were decreased and the activity of SOD and CAT were significantly increased (P < 0.01).CONCLUSION Diaoxinxuekang can protect the H202 injured cardiomyocytes by increasing antioxidafion capability.

AIM AstragalosideⅣ (AS-Ⅳ) is one of the main active constituents of astragalus membranaceus, the present study is to investigate the effects of AS-Ⅳ on action potentials and membrane *** The electrophysiologic effects of AS-Ⅳ were checked in freshly isolated guinea pig ventricular myocytes with whole-cell patch clamp *** AS-Ⅳ 1 × 10-6 tool.L-1 significantly prolonged the action potential duration at 95% repolarization (APDg5) from (313.1-+ 38.9)ms to (785.3 ±83.7) ***-Ⅳ at 1 × 10-6 mol· L-1 enhanced the inward rectified potassium currents (IK1) and inhibited the delayed rectified potassium currents (IK).AS-Ⅳ at 1 × 10-6 mol·L-1 depressed Ca2+ current (Ica) from (-607.3 ± 37.5)pA to (-321.1 ±38.3)***-Ⅵ increased the intracellular Ca2+ release by 3 *** AS-Ⅳ prolonged APD of guinea pig ventricular myocytes, and might handle Ca2 + signaling through suppression of ICa and strengthening the intraeellular Ca2 + release.

AIM To investigate the effects of ganoderma lucidum spores on caspase 8 and nestin in brain tissue of rats with epilepsy induced by pentylenetetrazol(PTZ),and to further study the pathogenesis of epilepsy and the anti-epilepsy mechanism of ganoderma lucidum *** Thirty-six male Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into control,PTZ epilepsy and ganoderma lucidum spores(GLS) *** The results showed that caspase 8-positive cell in rats of PTZ model group were higher than normal control and GLS group,while the content of caspase 8-positive cell were decreased in the GLS group compared with the epileptic model *** content of nestin were higher in PTZ model group than those of control group and GLS group at in cortex and hippocampus, also The content of nestin in GLS group were higher than control *** Ganoderma lucidum spores can effectively reduce the expression of apoptosis cell and inhibit the caspase 8 activations in the epileptic rat's brain tissue,strengthen the function of anti-oxidize in brain tissue,and can supply recovering of epilepsy nerve cell with important basis by reducing the content of nestin neural internality protect mechanism can be strengthened to reduce the damage on nerve system induced by falling *** lucidum spores is an assistant medicine to cure epilepsy,it can be very useful in clinic application.

Anglotensin Ⅱ (Ang Ⅱ) plays a key role in the regulation of blood pressure and the process of cerebral *** have previously demonstrated that pinocembrin (5,7-dihydroxyflavanone), one of the main flavonoids in propolis, improves cerebral blood flow in focal or global cerebral ischemia-reperfusion ***, we investigate the vasorelaxant effect of pinocembrin on Ang Ⅱ-induced vasocontraction and its molecular mechanism of *** show that pretreatment with pinocembrin inhibited Ang Ⅱ-induced vascular contractions in both endothelium-intact and endothelium-denuded rat aortic *** inhibition was associated with a significant attenuation of the myosin light chain 2 phosphorylation at Ser19 that result from Ang lⅡ *** rat vascular smooth muscle cells, pinocembrin significantly suppressed Ang Ⅱ-induced Ca2+ *** together, our results demonstrate that pinocembrin inhibits Ang Ⅱ-induced rat aortic rings contraction, most likely through the inhibition of Ang Ⅱ-induced Ca2+ influx.
