Intragranular ferrite is an important microstructure in the transformation of weld metals, pipeline steels and other structural *** has a very good combination of high strength and toughness. Three-dimensional morphology of intragranular ferrite idiomorphs and plates or laths nucleated at inclusions in an Fe-0.09%C-1.48%Mn alloy was revealed by means of computer-aided three-dimensional reconstruction technique.
