Copper (Cu) as developmental toxicants have been reported extensively in freshwater fish, however, the sublethal and chronic toxic effects of copper to the early life stages of marine fish is not *** the present investigation, three series exposure experiments on marine medaka (Oryzias melastigma) were conducted: 1) chronic 0.01-1.28 mg Cu/L exposure to the embryo for 30 day, 2) chronic 0.01-0.16 mg Cu/L exposure to embryo until hatched larvae dead naturally under no-feeding condition, 3) acute 0.1-12.8 mg Cu/L exposure to the newly hatched larvae for 7 *** mortality, sublethal developmental endpoints, additionally, Cu accumulation were determined during the course of *** results revealed that Cu accumulation in the whole embryos showed a dose-and time-response increase with the development of embryo while fell dramatically once hatching (19 dpf).
