Rare earth mining leads to persistent waste water pollutants including valuable rare earth elements. A procedure for purification of rare earth mining wastewater using water hyacinth has been described in the present paper. In addition,the purification mechanism of rare earth elements by water hyacinth was *** removal rates of rare earth elements in low or moderate concentration by water hyacinths was discovered to be nearly 100% and 93.9%, respectively. In this paper, we introduce the theoretical basis and technological process of preparing nanometer yttrium oxide by precipitation method. The formation mechanism of agglomeration in the process of preparing nanometer yttrium oxide by precipitation method and the way to eliminate it are studied as *** production experiments results shows that by using different methods in each process to control the formation of powder agglomeration,finally, a single particle size <50nm, aggregate size of D50<150nm, specific surface area of >45m2/g, the purity of 99.99% spherical nano powder can be prepared.

In this paper, a rare earth separation enterprise was taken as an example and the monitoring data of the radioactive pollution source of the enterprise were used as the source term in the *** the regional terrain data and the ground and upper meteorological data in the recent three years as forecast conditions, the software UAIR-FINE was used to estimate the radiation impact from the rare earth separation enterprise on the surrounding public. The prediction results indicated that, the public maximum individual dose caused by the rare earth separation enterprises was in the juvenile group and it's about 7.78 * 10m Sv/a. It meet the enterprise public dose constraint value which does not exceed 0.01 m Sv/a.
