北极地区终年寒冷,人迹罕至,但其独特的气候环境中仍有许多未知的新物种有待人类的发现.本研究对分离自北极冰川前沿土壤样品的一株深红色细菌(M6-79T)进行多相分类学的研究,菌株M6-791细胞为革兰氏阴性,杆状,无芽孢,不运动,严格好氧.在营养琼脂培养基上20℃培养7天,菌落呈圆形、深红色并凸起;M6-79T能在4℃正常生长,最适生长温度为18-20℃;最适pH为6.0-8.0;氧化酶和过氧化氢酶均呈阴性.全细胞脂肪酸分析其主要含有Summed in feature 8(C18∶1 ω7c)、C16∶o和Summed in feature 3;主要醌型为Q-9;其极性脂主要有磷脂酰乙醇胺、磷脂酰甘油、双磷脂酰甘油、磷脂酰胆碱和一个未知的氨基脂类.依据其16S rRNA基因序列比对结果建立系统进化树,将其聚类至Alphaproteobacteria门,Roseomonas属.M6-79T与已发表的Roseomonas aquatica TR53T相似性最高,相似度为95.41%.M6-79T拥有Roseomonas属的基本特征,但其生理生化等特征与其相似性较高的几株模式菌株亦有一定差异,经试验比较分析,我们将M6-79T定义为Roseomonas属的一个新种,命名为Roseomonas arctic,模式菌株为M6-79T (CCTCC AB 2013101).
