The Si-Sr system was critically assessed by means of CALPHAD *** solution phases （liquid,face-centered cubic,body-centered cubic,and diamond） were modeled with the Redlich-Kister *** compound βSiSr,which had a homogeneity range,was treated as the formula （Si,Sr）Sr by a two-sublattice model with Si and Sr on the first sublattice,Sr on the second one,respectively The intermetallic compounds,αSiSr,SiSr,SiSr,SiSr and SiSr were treated as stoichiometric compounds.A set of self-consistent thermodynamic parameters of the Si-Sr system was obtained.

Phase equilibria were established in the Eu-Co-Sb ternary system at room temperature based mainly on X-ray powder diffraction *** binary compounds,CoSb,CoSb,CoSb,EuSb,EuSb,EuSb and EuSb,have been confirmed at room *** binary compound in the Eu-Co binary system or ternary compound in the Eu-Co-Sb ternary system was *** isothermal section of this ternary system at room temperature consisits of 10 single-phase regions,17 two-phase regions and 8 three-phase *** single-phase regions are Eu,Co,Sb,CoSb,CoSb,CoSb,EuSb,EuSb,EuSb and *** maximum solid solubility of Eu in CoSb at room temperature is less than 0.3 at.%,while the homogeneous ranges of the other single-phase regions are non-observable.

The serials of DyCOGa polycrystalline samples with x=0～7 were prepared by arc melting. X-ray powder diffraction indicated that the compoundsare the hexagonal ThNi-type structure for x≤3 and the rombohedral ThZn-type structure for 3.5≤x≤*** lattice parameters a and c increase linearly with the content of gallium until x=*** the gallium content x further increasing to 7,the lattice parameter c slightly decreases,while the lattice parameter a increases more quickly than that for 0≤x≤5.3. The unit cell volumes shown approximately linear increase of 6.1（?）/Ga and 10.1（?）3/Ga for 0≤x≤3.0 and 3.5≤x≤7.0,*** refmement of the DyCoGa compound reveals that the Ga atoms occupy all of the 6c,9d,18f and 18h site and more preferential occupy the 6c *** curie temperature and the saturation magnetization of the rombohedral DyCoGa compounds decrease nearly linearly with the increasing of Ga content.

The diffusion in iridium-rich Ir-Nb alloys has been studied by single-phase interdiffusion *** chemical diffusion coefficient has been measured for the primary fcc solid-solution and the Ll ordered compound IrNb in the temperature range between 1650℃ and 1950℃,using Ir/Ir-8Nb and Ir-26Nb/Ir-28Nb diffusion couples,respectively （numbers indicate mol %）.While the chemical diffusion coefficient in the solid-solution phase is close to the tracer self-diffusion coefficient of pure iridium,the diffusion in the compound phase is extremely slow:the chemical diffusion coefficient is 1/40 to 1/50 of that in the solid *** low diffusion rate in the compound must be beneficial for high-temperature performance of refractory superalloys based on the Ir-Nb system.

A preliminary thermodynamic assessment of the Ir-Nb system,one of the key binary systems of the Ir-based refractory alloys,was performed,using the CALPHAD （CALculation of PHase Diagrams） technique combined with ab-initio *** fcc,Ll and Ll phases were described using the four-sublattice model with the formula （Ir,Nb）（Ir,Nb）（Ir,Nb）（Ir,Nb）.The liquid phase was modeled as a substitutional *** the fcc-based ordered phases,FLAPW （Full-potential Linear Augmented Plane Wave） calculations were performed to obtain the formation enthalpies, from which the effective cluster interaction energies were extracted using the CEM （Cluster Expansion Method）.Furthermore,the free energies at different temperatures were estimated using the CVM （Cluster Variation Method）.The obtained parameter set reproduces well the characteristic features of the experimental phase diagram,such as the phase boundaries and invariant reactions.

The effects of tin substitution on the phase formation,the Curie temperature and the magnetic entropy change of the monoclinic GdSiGe alloy have been *** Sn-doped GdSiGeSn samples were prepared with 2x=0,0.01,0.03,0.05 and 0.10,respectively. Experimental results show that a small amount of Sn-doping in GdSiGe retains the first order structural/magnetic transition,significantly enhances its magnetocaloric effects as well as increase its Curie temperature To,but leads to increase its hysteresis loss due to its field-induced monoclinic to orthorhombic phase *** maximum magnetic entropy change of the Sn-doped GdSiGeSn sample for the 0-2.0 T magnetic field change reaches 28.9 ***.K at 277 K,which is twice as large as that of pure GdSiGe (14.1 ***.K at 260 K) for the same magnetic field change.

The Cu-Se system was optimized by means of the CALPHAD *** two miscibility gaps of the liquid existed in two sides of the compound CuSe,the associate model with the associate species“CuSe”was adapted to describe the Gibbs energy for the liquid and compared to the random solution *** optimizing results showed that thermodynamic model describing the liquid phase as a solution Cu,Se and a“CuSe”associate fit well with the experimental *** intermetallic compounds,CuSe,αCuSe,βCuSe,γCuSe and CuSe were treated as stoichiometric *** compounds αCuSe and βCuSe,which have a homogeneity range,were treated as the formulae α（Cu,Se）Se and β（Cu,Se）Se by a two-sublattice model.A set of self-consistent thermodynamic parameters of the Cu-Se system was obtained.

Phase equilibria were established in the Dy-rich Dy-Co-Sb ternary system （33.3 at.% or more） at 500℃ by X-ray powder diffraction *** binary compounds,DyCo,DyCo,DyCo,DyGa, DyGa and DyGa,have been confirmed,and seven ternary compounds,DyCoGa,DyCoGa, DyCoGa,DyCoGa,DyCoGa,DyCoGa and DyCoGa,were found in this Dy-rich Dy-Co-Sb ternary system at 500℃.The structures of DyCoGa,DyCoGa, DyCoGa and DyCoGa have been *** isothermal section at 500℃ has been constructed,which consists of 14 single-phase regions,27 two-phase regions and 15 three-phase regions. Four compounds in Dy-Co-Ga ternary system form the solid solutions by the way of substitution of Ga atoms for Co *** homogeneity ranges are from 0 to 12 at.% Ga for DyCo,from 17.5 to 27.5 at.% Ga for DyCoGa,from 45.0 to 53.0 at.% Ga for DyCoGa and from 57.0 to 60.0 at.% Ga for DyCoGa,*** homogeneity ranges of the other single-phase regions are non-observable.

Substantial efforts have been placed on developing bulk nanostructured metals as they are expected to exhibit both high strength and good ductility according to the extrapolation of the grain size dependence of mechanical properties of conventional *** the promised gain in strength has indeed been realized in nanostructured metals,the elongation to failure is disappointedly less than a few percent,and the uniform elongation,*** plastic strain before localized deformation starts in the engineering stress-strain curve,is even *** we present observation of high strength and good uniform ductility in a bulk nanostructured austenitic *** grain size was refined to about 150 nm by repetitive phase transitions through conventional rolling and annealing *** bulk nanostructured alloy provides high yield strength of 860 MPa,five times higher than that of coarse-grained one,and high tensile strength of 1140 *** uniform elongation is also above 30% mainly due to the additional strain-hardening caused by strain-induced martensitic transformation during tensile *** present results probably pave the way to develop ductile bulk nanostructured alloys by thermomechanical processes.

Alloy design and microstructural control in ductile Cu-Al-Mn shape memory alloys are *** cold-workability is improved by control of the degree of order in the bcc β phase,and Cu-Al-Mn alloys with 17 at%Al show good cold-workability and shape memory (SM) properties,which strongly depend on the *** particular,an excellent superelastic strain of over 7%,which is much greater than that of other Cu-base SM alloys and comparable to Ti-Ni SM alloys,is obtained in the Cu-Al-Mn-Ni alloys by microstructural control of the recrystallization *** the other hand,a decrease in the relative grain size results in good fatigue property,enabling cyclic uses of superelasticity in practical applications.
