In this paper,a crystalline phase of YWO was synthesized by thermal decomposition and phase transition of its decatungstate gel *** stepwise increasing the temperature to 750℃,white polycrystalline powder *** by x-ray powder diffraction,this compound is found to be a mixture of two material phases comprising WO and *** novel species YWO was refined from x-ray diffraction data in tetragonal space group P4/N (NO.85),with a unit cell dimensions of a=5.262(5),c=8.416(7),V=233.09(Z=2).Though the structure cannot be solved by the direct methods because of the severe overlapping and the probability of preferred orientation,the partial structure of YWO is determined by using Patternson Methods.
