In this article, the mathematical modeling of a high pressure regulator with its safety valve is presented. In the first step, the performance of regulator and safety valve are investigated, separately. After that, the safety valve is connected to the output port of air regulator and the output pressure's variation is investigated. For analyzing of air regulator and safety valve's operation, the equation of motion of internal parts, continuity equations for chamber and the equations related to mass flow rate which passing from diverse ducts in regulator are derived, respectively. the motion's equation consists of inertia, controlling spring force, pressurized air force and coulombs friction terms. Because of nonlinearity and coupling, these equations are solved by using numerical methods and the results are presented. Finally, the results obtained in steady state arc validated by testing.

the work points to study the effects of bodies flexibility concerning the Running Dynamics and Structural requirements and how such aspects could be integrated into a single design process of a mass transit vehicle in terms of Comfort, Safety, Track fatigue and Bogie-frame design. the multi-body system of the vehicle has been developed. the finite element model of the flexible bodies as car-body, wheel-set, bolster-beam and bogie-frame have been implemented. the critical but necessary step, in the integration process of the flexible body into a multi-body system, is the reduction of the finite element model of the body. For that reason an analytical verification in focused to validate the reduced FE-model with respect to the full FE-model has been thought, developed and implemented to provide a useful design tool;such an analytical verification aids the engineer to control and to optimize the reduction technique applied to the full-FE-model of the body. the validation procedure, which has been implemented, consists in developing an alter for the DMAP, Direct Matrix Abstraction Program of the FE-solver, and processing the output into a programming environment.

Telecommunication sector is nowadays among the largest electricity consumers. this is fast growing thanks to the increase in the power density of the installed devices: traditional power densities were below 1 kW/m(2), while in the case of latest data centers there are power densities of about 11 kW/m(2) [1]. Air conditioning represents a significant contribution in the energy balance, as the devices must operate in appropriate ambient conditions. In this paper the potential reduction of primary energy consumption that can be achieved through with free cooling and adiabatic free cooling is examined. Due to the specific requests for the operation (standard ETSI) the analysis must be conducted considering realistic annual temperature and humidity profiles, not only average profiles. For this reason, a probabilistic climate model is developed and tested. Moreover, the effects due to the configuration of the various devices and the characteristics of fresh air supply and extraction systems are evaluated and accounted. this is obtained using both computational and experimental analysis. Several areas in Mediterranean countries are considered.

MODELING AND CONTROL OF A TELETRUCK USING ELECTRONIC LOAD SENSING

In mobile hydraulic application the actuating fluid power system is most commonly controlled using a hydro-mechanical control scheme called Hydraulic Load Sensing (HLS). However, with the demands for increased efficiency and controllability the HLS solutions are reaching their limits. Motivated by availability of electronic controllable fluid power components and the potential of increased dynamic performance and efficiency, this paper investigates how HLS can be replaced with electronic control, i.e. Electronic Load Sensing (ELS). the investigation is performed by taking a specific application, a teletruck, and replace the HLS control with ELS. To aid the controller design for the ELS system, a complete model of the teletruck's articulated arm and fluid power system is developed. To show the feasibility, a preliminary control structure for the ELS system is developed. the controller is tested on the machine, validating that features such as pump pressure control, flow sharing and over pressure protection can be implemented using ELS and with improved energy efficiency.

the present paper introduces a framework for the collaborative determination of design task implementation priorities according to design effort-based calculations. Hierarchical structures are used for representing associative dependencies among primary and dependent tasks. design effort for task implementation is defined as function of various task-oriented issues such as designers' experience, designers' ability to fulfill task-related requirements, etc. Simple metrics are used to form a unified effort index for each individual task. Weighted collaborative determination of implementation effort for individual tasks is also studied. Weights are assigned to individual designers and a simple aggregation technique is used that provides overall values of effort indices for tasks when multiple designers are involved in the design process. A weighted dependency matrix so formed is further transformed through a number of operations based on the connectivity among the tasks and the intensity of effort index values. From the aforementioned matrix, a unique sorted list of primary tasks is produced that ensures that production of design information of maximum importance takes place with least effort during the early design stages and under completely realistic design conditions. A short design example contributes towards a better understanding of the proposed framework.

An orthopedic distractor device is currently being developed for extending bones or bridging a gap in a bone. the device is designed to fit into the medullary canal of a human femur or tibia. By virtue of telescopic motion between two mating parts, the device can extend axially inside a dissected bone, elongate it to desired length. the distractor is actuated by means of a miniature electrical drive system, which is energized and controlled from outside of the body without any direct physical connection or cabling. In this study mechanical design and prototype manufacturing considerations of the intramedullary distractor device are discussed. An important limitation in design of this device is the availability of a suitable drive system that will fit into the intramedullary space of the bone, which has a diameter of less then 12 mm. the nail must withstand axial forces with a magnitude of 2000 N, which is exerted by extending the muscles, especially during the late stages of the distraction operation. Since the designed device is intended to be used inside the human body proper insulation from the surrounding body fluids must be provided, thus sealing is also an important design consideration. A preliminary design is presented that will achieve the desired requirements.

the generated heats of high-power LED illumination will increase the LEDs' working temperatures which may degrading the illumination efficiency and lifetimes of LED devices. In this study, the liquid cooling of directly immersed LEDs in different ambient of air or liquids is investigated by the experimental measurement methodology. For LEDs which are operated in series, the generated heats are dissipated into and stored in ambient fluids, then, the casing of lamp (usually acted as a heat sink structure) further conduct these heats and dissipate it into atmospheric air finally. In the experiments, different powers are sequentially input into the LEDs and different fluids, including air, silicone oil, and FC-40, respectively, are filled to cool the LEDs which are directly immersed in these fluids. Temperatures are measured by thermocouples and the IR thermal imager, respectively. Fluid-to-air thermal resistances and fluid temperatures are estimated by a proposed resistance equation. the calculated temperatures are within 10% of error as compared to experimental results. this resistance model is a very good way to quickly examine the fluid-to-air resistances if we want to design the liquid-cooled package of LED illumination.

Fine blanking is a near net shape process that is used for manufacturing of final product. In the fine blanking process, V-ring indentation is applied to create hydrostatic pressure and prevent premature fracture in an undesired direction. Furthermore, a small clearance between the punch and die is employed along with a counterforce punch that causes concentrated strain in the sheared band region. this process generally applies for sheet metal up to 6 mm. Application of this process for blanking of sheets thicker than 6 mm require some precautions for sound production. In the present research work, finite element analyses have been performed to investigate the effects of thickness variations on the shear band localization and shear surface quality in the fine blanking process. Simulations have been performed for two thicknesses of 6 and 8 mm. As blank materials, steel sheets of AISI 1045 have been used for numerical investigations.

thermal loading is one of the most important issues which results in thermal stresses in different bodies. thermal stresses may be large and have to be considered in the design processes. Although thermal stresses are usually treated as non-desired factors, in this paper we proposed to use thermal stresses in a body with elastic loading to reduce elastic stresses and consequently increase the maximum allowable loading. In the proposed method, thermal loading is generated by applying a heat flux on parts of the boundary of the body or heat generation inside a portion of its domain. In each case the distribution of the thermal load is obtained so that the maximum stress in the body becomes minimum. To determine the unknown distribution of the thermal load, first we modeled it as a multi-parameter function with some unknown parameters;then, by a sensitivity analysis and some mathematical operations, the optimized values of the parameters are found. To see the application, in this paper, several examples are presented to show the performance and the efficiency of the proposed method. the cases which are studied in the current work show that the proposed method for reducing elastic stresses by employing thermal loading is effective and the maximum stress can be decreased considerably.

In this study, firstly, we compare various kinds of imitator robots and then by investigating of various fish robots properties, we design a mechanism and control circuit for a kind of these robots which its structure was inspired from knife fish. this robot has a segmental anal fin in its bottom which produces required force for advancement and maneuver. It consists of two servomotors and uses a kind of mechanical system to change direction and depth which is presented in this work. Another property of this robot is the existence of density control box for robot suspension which increases its capability for freight. the required signals are sent to this robot to produce the movement and maneuver by using a control handle and a wireless system which are installed on a control board. therefore, it is possible to control the robot from out of the pool. In this paper, an electrical circuit is designed to control servomotors which enables us to control revolution, speed and phase differences of neighbor servomotors in fins. We also control two servomotors to regulate direction and depth.
