In order to solve the problem of voltage fluctuation caused by unbalanced load rate and reactive power of traditional substation main transformer, the concept of Flexible Interconnected Substation(FIS) based on Back-to-Back Modular Multilevel Converter(B2B-MMC) is defined;An additional active / reactive power control strategy is designed to realize online load transfer according to the continuous power regulation characteristics of B2B-MMC. furthermore, the dynamic balance of load rate and constant power factor of main transformer are realized, and the utilization rate and service life of main transformer and the power supply quality of FIS are improved;Finally, taking a 110kV substation with double main transformers as the object, the FIS simulation system based on B2B-MMC is built by PSCAD / EMTDC simulation software, and the corresponding control strategy is designed to verify the correctness and effectiveness of the proposed control method. © 2020 ieee.

the Electronic Patient Health Recorded systems have been designed and implemented to provide the ability of collaboration among healthcare providers. Such collaborations raise the need for an authorization system to implement network security and protect sensitive data of each patient. Without a proper security protocol, this confidential information could be exploited by malicious attackers. this paper presents a novel access control system called “Access control Model in Hybrid Cloud for Healthcare systems” will help us to deal with any security vulnerabilities within the system. the proposed system is based upon two levels of access control: (1) protecting shared data containing basic information of patients among hospitals in the systems and (2) protecting private’s patient data that can be accessed by only the treating doctor. the model is implemented in a real-case application to demonstrate its effectiveness in managing the different level of security and privacy concerns. © 2020, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

the development of existing software system, including web-based developmental surveillance programs, adopt linear software versioning systems wherein all files associated to a particular software version is pre-packed together and distributed to clients. In this paper, the two inconveniences incurred by linear software versioning onto web-based software development have been highlighted in terms of the software system update and rollback infrastructure. the use of a new Pushdown Automata (PDA) based versioning framework has been proposed to resolve these issues, by reducing update file storage requirements on the master server, and by simplifying the update files fetching process and version update/rollback installation process. Based on the proposed PDA-based versioning framework, a description is provided on how branched software versioning systems can be implemented to facilitate the development of a light-weight central repository server which allows access to different online language screening tools for all respective needs.

the aim of the current article is dealing with the adaptive neural fault tolerant control subject for a class of strict feed-back nonlinear full state constrained systems with faults in actuators and sensors. the faults which are taken into account in the current study are bias, drift, loos of accuracy, and misfortune of impression faults. In order to reduce the computational effort, only one parameter law is updated at each step. Besides, it is guaranteed that the states stay inside their constraint sets based on Barrier Lyapaunov Functions (BLF). In order to reach stability and tracking performance of the system, the controller parameter adaptive law was designed according to Lyapunov stability theory. It was found that, the Lyapunov theory demonstrates that the devised method can guarantee the closed loop stability of the control system, and all signals within the closed-loop framework are semi-globally uniformly bounded and the boundary of states are never damaged and the following blunder can converge to small desired value by the proper choose of design parameters. the simulation study have shown that the proposed control strategy was proven to be effective. © 2020 ieee.

A novel Fault Tolerant control (FTC) strategy is proposed based on interval type-2 Takagi-Sugeno controller and conventional PID controller, in this paper it has been presented for a nonlinear system. the main advantage of this strategy is, it can handle the faults, uncertainties in describing the nonlinear systems and give rigorous fuzzy rules. this study assesses the design of the robust controller which can tolerate the system component and actuator faults into the system and maintain the performance of the system at an acceptable level. To validate the proposed FTC strategy three-tank interacting level control system is considered. Finally, the simulation of the three-tank interacting level process model demonstrates the superiority of the proposed strategy using two integral error performance index Integral Absolute Error (IAE) and Integral Square Error (ISE). © 2020, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

the extensive emerging of distributed PV power generation and DC loads accelerates the development of DC distribution network. In a DC distribution network, the intermittence of generation of distributed PV causes power fluctuation and the relatively large power load ratio weakens the PV utilization rate. In this paper, a control strategy for DC distribution network is proposed to solve the problems. the DC distribution network is connected to the main AC distribution network via a voltage source converter (VSC), and a battery storage system is employed to smooth the power fluctuation. In the grid-connected operation, the battery stabilizes the voltage of the DC distribution network while the VSC outputs constant power to the AC network. In the islanded operation, the battery controls the DC network voltage according to its state of charge (SOC) level. A new load shedding strategy is developed based on the DC voltage level to assure the power supply to the critical loads as long as possible. PSCAD/EMTDC is used for modeling and simulation. the simulation results verified the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy. © 2020 ieee.

Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) can restore motion to a paralysed's person muscles. Yet, control stimulating many muscles to restore the practical function of entire limbs is an unsolved problem. Current neurostimulation engineering still relies on 20th Century control approaches and correspondingly shows only modest results that require daily tinkering to operate at all. Here, we present our state-of-the-art Deep Reinforcement Learning developed for real-time adaptive neurostimulation of paralysed legs for FES cycling. Core to our approach is the integration of a personalised neuromechanical component into our reinforcement learning (RL) framework that allows us to train the model efficiently-without demanding extended training sessions with the patient and working out-of-the-box. Our neuromechanical component includes merges musculoskeletal models of muscle/tendon function and a multi-state model of muscle fatigue, to render the neurostimulation responsive to a paraplegic's cyclist instantaneous muscle capacity. Our RL approach outperforms PID and Fuzzy Logic controllers in accuracy and performance. Crucially, our system learned to stimulate a cyclist's legs from ramping up speed at the start to maintaining a high cadence in steady-state racing as the muscles fatigue. A part of our RL neurostimulation system has been successfully deployed at the Cybathlon 2020 bionic Olympics in the FES discipline with our paraplegic cyclist winning the Silver medal among 9 competing teams.

the integrated energy system modeling method based on the energy network theory can break down theoretical and technical barriers between different energy subsystems. this study proposed a novel exergy analysis method based on the energy network theory. the proposed method taps the energy efficiency potential of an integrated energy system. To capture common exergy transfer characteristics, the universal transmission law of exergy based on the second law of thermodynamics was proposed. Different forms of dynamic exergy transfer mechanisms including electrical exergy, thermal exergy, and pressure exergy were then analyzed in a time- varying energy network with the energy network theory modeling method. With the same exergy analysis method, the dynamic evolution mechanism of exergy in energy conversion elements was also proposed. Furthermore, a Runge Kutta algorithm and the generalized Kirchhoff law were combined to calculate the exergy in an integrated energy system, which could be simplified into an energy network topological diagram. A case study was used to analyze the cause, distribution, and size of the exergy loss and storage in different energy networks, verifying the feasibility of the proposed exergy analysis model and method. © 2020 ieee.

Access control is a crucial part of a system’s security, restricting what actions users can perform on resources. therefore, access control is a core component when dealing with e-Health data and resources, discriminating which is available for a certain party. We consider that current systems that attempt to assure the share of policies between facilities are mostly centralized, being prone to system’s and network’s faults and do not assure the integrity of policies lifecycle. Using a blockchain as store system for access policies we are able to ensure that the different entities have knowledge about the policies in place while maintaining a record of all permission requests, thus assuring integrity, auditability and authenticity. © 2020, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Electrical appliances are one of the most important necessities in the modern world. With the advancement of technologies, modern electrical appliances can accomplish various tasks effectively for the convenient and comfort of human life. However, with the increase in the number of household appliances since the past few decades, the demand for residential electrical energy has consistently in the increasing trend. To prevent energy wastage, it is desirable to have a smart control system that can automatically turn off the appliances that are not in use. In this paper, an intelligent electrical appliance control system is proposed to control the switching of household appliances based on the detection of human presence. Instead of using a pyroelectric (PIR) sensor which is commonly used for human motion detection, this system uses a thermal sensor which is also able to detect stationary human and provide accurate location of human in the detection area. A calibration method is introduced to determine the proper temperature threshold for effective human detection. In the proposed system, the detection area of the sensor is divided into several sections. Based on the human detection result, the switching of the appliances in each section can be individually controlled. Test on the implemented prototype showed that the proposed system is able to detect human presence in different sections of the monitored area and control the switching of the electrical appliances. the system is thus has the potential to prevent wastage of electrical energy by automatically turning off the unnecessary appliances such as lighting or fans when human is not presence.
