Although pulmonary rehabilitation has been well-recognized and recommended by the medical sector as an effective treatment to control and even prevent Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), a generally low level of compliance across patients taking pulmonary rehabilitation often prevents the program from delivering satisfactory outcome in practice. Motivational interviewing (MI) is frequently used as a directive, client-centered counselling style to promote adherence to treatment in patients with COPD. this study explored the effectiveness of MI in eliciting the real needs and requirements of patients with COPD, as required to create design inventions with satisfactory usability. In the first stage, twenty patients with COPD were interviewed. the interviewees were randomly divided into a control group and an intervention group of 10 each. the control group (n= 10) underwent an unguided interview, while the intervention group (n = 10) was interviewed using the MI technique. the results were analyzed using comparative analysis. the number of effective answers acquired from the intervention group was significantly larger than those from the control group. In the second stage, a conceptual pulmonary rehabilitation unit was designed based on the user insight established from the interviews results. this unit was then tested withthe interviewees and three physicians, and received positive feedback. this pilot study showed that MI aidedthe designers in establishing rich and credible insights into patients with COPD, by disclosing user information that traditional interview techniques tended to omit. It also provided a reference for on how to apply MI results properly in new product inventions.

Web accessibility awareness among development teams has increased with initiatives like theWeb Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and more user-centered development methods. While this awareness has grown, there is a need to explore accessibility from diverse stakeholder perspectives when applying these standards. this study presents findings from a survey of 47 stakeholders who used an internal customized digital tool withdesign components like patterns, principles, and graphic profiles. this study aimed to gain a deeper understanding of the stakeholders' experiences when developing accessible public web services withthe support of a customized ICT tool. Results show that a knowledge-based digital platform, which is used for assessing and communicating accessibility requirements, can streamline the development process and establish a common baseline for all stakeholders involved in developing accessible public web services. this research highlights the importance of having a holistic perspective from various stakeholders on accessibility and the impact of tailored tools in fostering inclusivity and compliance with web accessibility standards.

Speculative design, as a new approach in design filed, is believed to open new ways of thinking and perception of the future. through the creation of designed objects, this approach attempts to challenge assumptions and preconceptions about the role that products, services and systems play in everyday life. Products or services or systems can be regarded as fictions that can create stories and scenarios in a participatory and humanized way for the view of future. In this sense, speculative design is a method to discover and discuss technology's influence on everyday life. Based on the literature review of speculative design, the relationship between technology and design, as well as the longtime discussed question: difference between art and design, the author analyzes the technological interactivity and connectivity in 3 typical speculative design cases. In the end, the author points out the nature of speculative designers are new designers who are very close to artists. Two paths of speculative design are classified. As a conclusion, speculative design work are bothdesign as well as art.
