the detection of road objects plays an essential role in the development of autonomous vehicles in intelligent transportation systems, which has become an emerging field in deep learning. Several objects on the road, like vehicles, pedestrians, etc., are necessary to be accurately identified, which guarantees the safety of other people and vehicles in the surroundings. In this article, we aim to design an efficient object detection model for autonomous driving systems. To achieve this, we investigate the recently developed YOLOv7 and optimize the same for improving the detection performance to satisfy the realtime safety requirements of autonomous vehicles. We perform extensive experimentation and demonstrate the effectiveness of our method on the BDDIOOK dataset. Experimental results show that our proposed method increases the detection accuracy to 82.6% and inference speed to 97.2 FPS compared to the baselines, with no additional increase in model complexity. © 2023 IEEE.

Network on Chip (NoC) refers to the network variant of the multiprocessor system on chip (MPSoC). the RoC approach has been demonstrated to be one of the most effective methods for the efficient utilisation of interconnections, and it facilitates the exchange of data between multiple nodes integrated on a single processor. the topology, switching, and routing techniques are crucial to the design of the NoC architecture. the paper concentrates on the design of a 2D NoC router and its application in configuring a (4×4) mesh topological NoC. To resolve the RoC's nodes, the XY routing technique is implemented. It is one of the simplest methods for designating nodes and routing data packets from one node or processing element to another within a NoC. the NoC layout is created using the VHDL programming language and is simulated using Xilinx 14.2 and simulation software. the design is validated on a Virtex-5 FPGA with 8-bit, 16-bit, 32-bit, 64-bit, and 128-bit data transfer between nodes when the NoC is fully connected and operational. In addition to analysing the hardware parameters and detailed report of the developed NoC Chip, the FPGA synthesis parameters are also analysed. © 2023 IEEE.

3D printing technology is a new high-tech with a unique operation mode. Although 3D printing technology has broad application prospects in various fields, it is necessary to further strengthen its research. the application of computer 3D printing technology in trace detection is the process of creating a three-dimensional model or digital representation of an object. the main purpose of this technology is to find out the defects, missing parts and other problems in the inspected products. It can be used in manufacturing, quality control, design and more applications. this process uses computer aided design (CAD) software to help create accurate models from scratch. Brain-computer Interface (BCI) systems are the leading technology in the world related to Neurosciences. Human intelligence and imagination have no bounds and this has led to vast advancement in BCI systems related to Neurological and allied sciences. this system measures the activity of the Central Nervous System (CNS) using biosignals and output is called Electroencephalography (EEG). the main purpose of BCI is to acquire EEG brain signals, identify patterns, extract features, and produce resultant actions. this process communicates with a modest electronic system designed for movements of physically challenged or paralyzed people. the purpose of this BCI system is to design a model to check the attention level of body movement. the movements are based on the EEG signals captured from the 19-electrode EEG headset. this allows gaining control over optimized real-time feature selection for EEG signals. the dataset of 30 subjects' sample EEG signals is recorded for classification and analysis purpose. the EEG signals are classified using Logistic Regression, Decision Tree, and Random Forest algorithms. It is shown that Random Forest is the most efficient classifier with the highest accuracy of 99.47%. © 2023 IEEE.

Organic electronics offer promising prospects for flexible device markets and affordable electronic solutions, especially in developing countries with robust performance. this study delves into the architecture of organic thin film transistors (OTFTs), conducting a comparative analysis of the important performance metrics, such as output drain current, subthreshold slope, and threshold voltage etc., in determining overall device efficiency. the research highlights the better performance of Dual Gate (DG) OTFTs compared to single gate OTFTs, providing almost double the output drain current for same operational voltage. the paper also discusses challenges like increased size and contamination issues associated with DG OTFTs. To address the limitations of DG OTFT and to enhance the OTFT performance, a new OTFT structure with short vertical channel and multiple gates has been proposed. the paper identifies the necessity for a vertical channel dual-gate organic thin film transistor capable of generating significantly higher drain current compared to its conventional counterparts, indicating a crucial direction for future research and development in the field of organic electronics. © 2023 IEEE.

Online piracy and the spread of deep false content have become major issues in the digital age. In order to combat the widespread distribution of unlicensed information, notably through the use of deep fake technologies, this article offers 'Deep Shield,' a unique solution employing federated learning techniques. Deep Shield uses a network of decentralised nodes to spread the capabilities of distributed machine learning while protecting user data privacy. We use federated learning to let several stakeholders, including platforms, regulatory authorities, and content providers, train a powerful deep learning model together without disclosing private information. By aggregating model changes and preserving data isolation, our technique ensures privacy compliance and reduces the risk of data breaches. Our research of the Deep Shield framework's design, training procedure, and deployment tactics is thorough. On a large collection of stolen content and deep fake films, we ran comprehensive trials to assess its efficacy. the findings show that Deep Shield considerably improves the identification and deletion of illegal information while upholding a high standard of privacy protection. © 2023 IEEE.

Silk cocoon is one of the critical textile raw materials, and its quality has a significant impact on production and processing. In view of the problems such as time-consuming, labor-intensive, and low efficiency in the existing silk cocoon quality inspection methods, this paper proposes a machine vision-based silk cocoon quality inspection system. For different types of silk cocoons, multiple machine vision techniques are used for image processing and feature extraction. the quality characteristics of silk cocoons are discriminated and analyzed by machine learning algorithms to achieve automatic detection of the cocoon quality. Experimental results show that the proposed system has high accuracy and fast detection speed and can meet the requirements of automated detection in the silk cocoon production process. © 2023 IEEE.

In recent years, data privacy security has been widely and highly valued by countries around the world. In the context of European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the regulatory requirements of laws and regulations are becoming increasingly strict, bringing huge impacts and challenges to enterprises with user's personal data such as internet services and financial technology. Up to a point, federal learning ensures data privacy by storing and processing personal data locally. However, due to malicious clients or central servers being able to launch attacks on global models or user privacy data, the security of federated learning is questioned, introducing blockchain into the federated learning framework is a feasible solution to address these data security issues. In this work, the concept of Blockchain (BC), Federated Learning (FL), GDPR and other similar data protection laws are presented, where a Blockchain-empowered Federated Learning (BC-empowered FL) framework is introduced. the challenges on complying with the GDPR are described, and the solutions or principles for improving the GDPR-compliance of BC-empowered FL systems are analyzed, sorting out the differences and connections among the GDPR-compliance methods yet laying a foundation to design legal and compliant applications for different domains and scenarios which need touch upon the user's personal data. © 2023 IEEE.

Multi-Layer Perceptrons (MLP) are powerful tools for representing complex, non-linear relationships, making them essential for diverse machine learning and AI applications. Efficient hardware implementation of MLPs can be achieved through many hardware and architectural design techniques. these networks excel at predictive modeling and classification tasks like image classification, making them a popular choice. Approximate computing techniques are increasingly used to optimize critical path delay, area, power, and overall hardware efficiency in high-performance computing systems through controlled error and related trade-offs. this study proposes a hardware MLP neural network implemented in 45nm CMOS technology, in which MAC units of the neurons incorporate error and power controllable approximate multipliers for classification of the MNIST dataset. the optimized network consists of 10 neurons within the hidden layers, occupying 0.026mm2 of area, with 5.55mW at 100MHz frequency in accurate mode and 4.81mW in lowest accuracy mode. the experiments indicate that the proposed design achieves a maximum rate of 13.33% decrease overall and 24.78% in each neuron's power consumption with only a 0.92% decrease in accuracy in comparison with accurate circuit. © 2024 IEEE.
