the integration of grid database is a hot researching field of grid database management nowadays. the middleware of data access and integration then plays an important role in grid database integration. this paper discusses the integration and the access of grid database based on the research and the analysis of OSGA-DAI framework and its internal procedure. We put forward a system framework and model design to extend and improve OGSA-DAI functions. the system presents good performances for the access and the integration of grid database. Finally, combined with the relative key technology and programming skills, we give out a solution of the access and the integration of grid database

Grids have emerged as paradigms for the next generation parallel and distributed computing. Computational grid can be defined as large-scale high-performance distributed computing environments that provide access to high-end computational resources. Grid scheduling is the process of scheduling jobs over grid resources. Improving overall system performance with a lower turn around time is an important objective of grid scheduling. In this paper a priority based scheduling algorithm is proposed. In this algorithm a new parameter named "priority" has been taken into consideration. the algorithm classifies the jobs into high, medium and low categories based on their priority. the priority assignment is done by considering the computational power of job and level of parallelism. the value for level of parallelism is assigned based on the amount of parallelism exhibited by the job and the amount of parallelism exhibited by the available resources. Generally, a job, which needs high computational power and exhibits low parallelism is given a high priority. Prioritizing the jobs in this way can improve the performance of computational grids. the effectiveness of our algorithm is evaluated through simulation results and its superiority over other known algorithms is demonstrated

In a service-oriented architecture (SOA), a system is viewed as a collection of independent units (services) that interact with one another through message exchanges. Established languages such as the Web services description language and the business process execution language allow developers to capture the interactions in which an individual service can engage, both from a structural and from a behavioral perspective. However, in large service-oriented systems, stakeholders may require a global picture of the way services interact with each other, rather than multiple small pictures focusing on individual services. Such "global models" are especially useful when a set of services interact in such a way that none of them sees all messages being exchanged, yet interactions taking place between some services affect the way other services interact. An issue that arises when dealing with global models of service interactions is that these models may capture behavioral constraints that can not be enforced locally. In other words, some global models may not be translatable into a collection of local models such that the sum of the local models equals the original global model. Starting from a previously proposed language for global modeling of service interactions, this paper defines an algorithm for determining if a global model is locally enforceable and an algorithm for generating local models from global ones

In grid environment, resources are widely distributed geographically and belong to different heterogeneous administrative domains respectively, involving various accessing and sharing strategies. In such heterogeneous dynamic environment, it's of considerable realistic value to provide perfect resource information service. In this paper, we study the directory-based service mechanism and structural modules of resource information, and analyze the performance of meta-computing directory service and offer an optimizing strategy. We also provide the online gathering and delivery of dynamic parameters of network and CPU, and perfect and extend the directory-based resource information structure, and develop a computing grid oriented prototype system of general information service

Electronic documents are increasingly becoming the norm today. Electronic document management systems solve many of the storage and retrieval problems inherent in paper filing systems while reducing business costs. However, with conversion of paper documents to electronic form, and an increasing amount of data being produced in electronic form, an employee today is hard-pressed in time simply trying to make sense of all he is required to read on his monitor. In order to help manage information overload and to help 'connect the dots' among various pieces of information, it is important that mechanisms and tools be developed for sieving the important bits of information, collecting and assimilating them in a useful manner and presenting them for easy digestion. In this paper, we discuss 4 visualization strategies 1) concept/mind maps 2) taxonomies/facets/ontologies 3) questions and answers (Q&A) and 4) summarization that should be adopted to help present the concepts in an electronic document for easy comprehension. Such strategies will go a long way in cutting down the reading time of the employee, leading to productivity increases and cost savings for the enterprise.

In order to resolve the composite material multi-objective topology optimization in aircraft design, a multi-objective aircraft optimization system based on grid technology, the multi-objective optimization grid (MOOG) is put forward. Using grid middleware, MOOG pooled the distributed computational resource into a high-performance computing platform and built a common genetic algorithm computational model towards multi-objective topology optimization. this system provided uniform resource service and visible user using interface. this thesis discussed in detail the system design and the improved multi-objective genetic algorithm. Finally, the solid experimental results of optimizing one type of high aspect ratio wing show that the MOOG has reduced the computation time and has good parallel acceleration

An architectural description to capture dynamic aspects of software architecture provides the fundamental information to the external adaptation mechanism for self-adaptive systems. this paper presents a dAcme framework for distributed self-adaptive systems and introduces an architecture description language to address the dynamism of software architecture. In dAcme, the traditional model layer is separated into model and instance layers. Multi-domain constraints and self-adaptive tactics are extended based on basic Acme syntax. these extensions turn the analyzing and planning phase of the adaptation life circle into searching a solution for distributed constraint satisfactory problems. A media distribution case study is presented to demonstrate the expressiveness of the proposed approach

Variability management has long been recognized as a key part of software product family development. this article builds on this notion by presenting a set of Web service related technologies in the context of variability management. Additionally we adapt an existing process for planning variability for use with our technologies.
