Traditional droop control method cannot achieve effective reactive power distribution when distributed generators are paralleled. therefore, this paper proposes a droop control scheme based on adaptive virtual impedance to solve the problem of uneven distribution of reactive power. the proposed method calculates the impedance difference between the two distributed power sources based on the feedback of line current and voltage, and introduces the adaptive virtual impedance compensation scheme accordingly. the proposed scheme reduces the amount of data to be transmitted during communication, and the system design is simple. the simulation in this paper demonstrate that, the proposed method reduces the percentage error in reactive power distribution from 10.5% to 0.4% under load variations and from 21% to 0.1%, when there is a sudden change in the impedance of one of the lines.

Electric vehicles (EVs) have recently received a lot of attention, as has the advancement of battery technology. Despite substantial advancements in battery technology, the existing batteries do not fully match the energy demands of EV power usage. One of the major concerns is non- monotonic energy consumption, which is accompanied by rapid variations during the battery discharge process. this is extremely damaging to the battery's electrochemical process. A viable approach is to combine the battery with a super capacitor, which is essentially an electrochemical cell with a similar design but with a greater rate capability and improved cyclic stability. In this arrangement, the super capacitor may supply the extra energy needed when the battery fails. Aside from the battery and super capacitor as independent elements, creating the architecture of the related hybrid system from an electrical engineering perspective is important. this article goes through the various energy storage technologies for hybrid electric vehicles as well as their advantages and disadvantages. It demonstrates that hybrid energy system technologies based on batteries and super capacitors are best suited for electric vehicle applications. In these paper lead acid battery is used as energy storage device in electric vehicle. In addition of super capacitor with battery, increases efficiency of electric vehicle and life of electric vehicle. this paper also examines the hybrid energy storage system's basic parallel design.

the increasing use of drone swarms in civil and military applications has led to a rise in research on swarm creation, formation, control, and innovative usage areas. In this study, a simulator was designed and implemented to verify the effectiveness of various tactics against a swarm of attacking drones aimed at disabling a high-voltage power line. We tested four different scenarios with varying degrees of complexity to evaluate the performance of our drone swarm defense strategy. the first scenario involved evenly distributed attacking and defending drones, while in the second scenario, attacking drones concentrated their attack on randomly selected poles. In the third scenario, attacking drones were evenly distributed, and defending drones were launched where they were needed by a drone launcher. the fourth scenario was a combination of the second and third scenarios. the results showed that the success rate of defense varied depending on factors such as drone distribution and the overall defensive response time. this study demonstrates the value of using simulations to test and refine drone swarm tactics and formations in real-world scenarios.

For big data, the Evidential K-Nearest Neighbor (EK-NN) classifier is still impractical due to the restrictions of time and memory. In boththe training and testing stage, searching for K closest neighbors requires intensive quadratic computation and has to be repeated for each input sample. To address this issue, we propose a distributed EK-NN classifier, named Global Exact EK-NN, for fast processing with Apache Spark. We compare the proposed classifier, which can be scaled to 48 nodes (2688 cores) at a cluster named the Texas Advanced computing Center Frontera, with several other parallel K-NN based algorithms over 4 large datasets. Our method is able to achieve state-of-the-art scaling efficiency and accuracy on the large datasets having more than 10 million samples.

the transmission line (TL)-based wave digital framework can be used to simplify engineering of complex microwave circuits like power dividers/splitters. In this paper, N-way Gysel power dividers (GPDs) are studied by derivation of the TL-based equivalent wave digital model (WDM) followed by utilizing MATLAB/Simulink environment. Based on this approach, a code is developed that predicts the scattering parameters of the analyzed GPD structures. Planar GPD structures containing 3-ways or 4-ways are investigated and a method for development of an equivalent circuit for the multiport parallel adaptor is presented. the analysis of the studied GPD structures begins with a simple geometry and can be extended to more complex geometries very easily. the simulation results are evaluated against TL-based simulations from Advanced Design System software. Inclusion of the multiport adaptor models with one port being dependent against the models with all independent ports reduces the total number of multipliers used in WDMs.

In recent years, the cloud has become an attractive execution environment for parallelapplications, which introduces novel opportunities for versatile optimizations. Particularly promising in this context is the elasticity characteristic of cloud environments. While elasticity is well established for client-server applications, it is a fundamentally new concept for parallelapplications. However, existing elasticity mechanisms for client-server applications can be applied to parallelapplications only to a limited extent. Efficient exploitation of elasticity for parallelapplications requires novel mechanisms that take into account the particular runtime characteristics and resource requirements of this application type. To tackle this issue, we propose an elasticity description language. this language facilitates users to define elasticity policies, which specify the elasticity behavior at both cloud infrastructure level and application level. Elasticity at the application level is supported by an adequate programming and execution model, as well as abstractions that comply withthe dynamic availability of resources. We present the underlying concepts and mechanisms, as well as the architecture and a prototypical implementation. Furthermore, we illustrate the capabilities of our approach through real-world scenarios.

Cloud-based software testing presents unique challenges due to the distributed nature of cloud applications and the need for realistic environment simulation. this paper addresses these challenges by proposing two novel solutions. the first is a distributed testing framework specifically designed for cloud-based software. this framework leverages service virtualization and automated orchestration to efficiently test software components across multiple servers, reducing testing time and resource consumption while improving coverage. the second solution is a realistic environment simulation framework for cloud-based software testing. this framework employs emulation and simulation techniques to replicate diverse deployment scenarios, network conditions, and user interactions, enhancing the accuracy and effectiveness of performance, scalability, and security testing. Experimental results demonstrate significant improvements in testing efficiency, effectiveness, and accuracy compared to traditional methods. For instance, the distributed testing framework reduced testing time by 18.75% and lowered CPU and memory utilization. the realistic environment simulation framework improved response times under various load scenarios and increased throughput during scalability testing. these proposed solutions pave the way for more robust and reliable cloud-based software, ensuring a seamless user experience and driving the continued advancement of cloud technologies.

the world is facing a complicated moment in which social isolation is necessary. therefore, to minimize the problems of companies, remote work is being widely adopted, which is only possible because of existing technologies, including cloud computing. Choosing the providers to host the business applications is a complex task, as there are many providers and most of them offer various services withthe same functionality and different capabilities. thus, in this paper, we propose an approach, called PUM(2)Q, for selecting providers to host a distributed application based on microservices that have little communication between them. PUM(2)Q is a provider selection approach based on multi-criteria, and it copes withthe needs of microservices individually and in parallel. the proposed approach extends our previous one, UM(2)Q, and should be incorporated by PacificClouds. Besides, we carry out a performance evaluation by varying the number of requirements, microservices, and providers. We also compare PUM(2)Q and UM(2)Q. the results presented by PUM(2)Q are better than those given by UM(2)Q, showing not only its viability but also expanding the number of approaches adopted by PacificClouds. As a result, PUM(2)Q making the tasks of the software architect, who is the user of PacificClouds, more flexible.
