In this paper,a parallel algorithm for RBF-based surface reconstruction from contours is presented. the reconstruction process is divided into local reconstruction and global reconstruction phases. In the local reconstruction phase,surface patches are reconstructed from a set of adjacent slices of contours,these tasks are scheduled to be executed in parallel In the global reconstruction phase,weighted function and local function values are evaluated in parallel To balance the overload among CPUs or threads and get best parallelcomputing performance,the total sample points involved in task groups are distributed *** experiment results show that the proposed schedule accelerate the reconstruction process greatly.

the Domus architecture for distributed hash tables (DHTs) is specially designed to support the concurrent deployment of multiple and heterogeneous DHTs, in a dynamic shared-all cluster environment. the execution model is compatible withthe simultaneous access of several distributed/parallel client applications to the same or different running DHTs. Support to distributed routing and storage is dynamically configurable per node, as a function of applications requirements, node base resources and the overall cluster communication, memory and storage usage. pDomus is a prototype of Domus that creates an environment where to evaluate the model embedded concepts and planned features. In this paper, we present a series of experiments conduced to obtain figures of merit i) for the performance of basic dictionary operations, and ii) for the storage overhead resulting from several storage technologies. We also formulate a ranking formula that takes into account access patterns of clients to DHTs, to objectively select the most adequate storage technology, as a valuable metric for a wide range of application scenarios. Finally, we also evaluate client applications and services scalability, for a select dictionary operation. Results of the overall evaluation are promising and a motivation for further work

In this paper we describe a technique for automatic construction of ontology, a semantic representation of a conceptualization, for any domain, organization or enterprise whose Web site is existent with quiet a big mine of information. An user interactive system is developed withthe help of which any organization, which has a Web site to maintain data, but has no corresponding semantic mark up, can automatically construct the ontology and further use that to model domain knowledge and make use of various semantic Web applications like semantic Web search engine etc. the automated construction of ontology will facilitate further the growth, popularity and usage of the semantic Web and semantic Web technologies as well as serve as a basis for artificial intelligence reasoning.

A wide variety of grid technologies have already been researched and developed withthe main aim of implementing high-performance computing. Even the major vendors are actively researching and developing grid technology, and have brought out numerous systems and software products. the grid allows distributed environments to be constructed on a global scale through the use of large numbers of computers. In fact numerous grids have already been constructed on a global scale and are being used in practice as the infrastructure for distributed processing environments. Meanwhile, studies have also been conducted withthe aim of using the grid infrastructure as a ubiquitous distributed processing environment. However, grid middleware has chiefly been developed in order to implement high-performance computing, so in order to use it in a ubiquitous environment it would be necessary to investigate the functions that ubiquitous environments would need to have from the viewpoint of grid middleware. In this study we will outline the latest research trends where the grid is used as a ubiquitous environment, particularly with regard to the points of intersection between the grid and the ubiquitous environment, and we will investigate the functions needed when applying ubiquitous environments to grid middleware.

In the paper, we propose a generic parallelcomputing model for the distributedcomputing platforms. this model is built on the top of the popular CORBA middleware in order to ensure easy distribution of the software components along the participating computers. We use the concept of factory objects in the model to create slave objects dynamically to fulflll the master/slave parallelcomputing paradigm. the speedup of the experiment programs using our proposed model is measured and compared withthe corresponding A PI implementation. the experiment results show that our model is not only a feasible model for designing parallel programs with CORBA but also an efficient way in comparison to the MPI implementation.
