With rapid development of sensor technologies and wireless network infrastructure, research and development of traffic related applications, such as real time traffic map and on-demand travel route recommendation have attracted much more attentions than ever before. Both archived and real-time data involved in these applications could potentially be very big, depending on the number of deployed sensors. Emerging Cloud infrastructure can elastically handle such big data and conveniently providing nearly unlimited computing and storage resources to hosted applications, to carry out analysis not only for long-term planning and decision making, but also analytics for near real-time decision support. In this paper, we propose Smart Traffic Cloud, a software infrastructure to enable traffic data acquisition, and manage, analyze and present the results in a flexible, scalable and secure manner using a Cloud platform. the proposed infrastructure handles distributed and parallel data management and analysis using ontology database and the popular Map-Reduce framework. We have prototyped the infrastructure in a commercial Cloud platform and we developed a real-time traffic condition map using data collected from commuters' mobile phones.

In recent years, heterogeneous parallel system have become a focus research area in high performance computing field. Generally, in a heterogeneous parallel system, CPU provides the basic computing environment and special purpose accelerator (GPU in this paper) provides high computing performance. However, the overall performance of the system is prone to be limited by the data communication between the CPU and the GPU. Data communication is typically used to synchronize the array on the CPU and the stream (in AMD's terminology) on the GPU. In many cases, programmers just add data synchronization for each GPU invoking independently. It is easy to program in this manner but much redundant communication may be introduced, which will dramatically degrade the overall performance. To alleviate this problem, based on the stream programming model, we propose a heuristic data communication schedule approach in this paper. By analyzing the state transition of stream/array data pair, relaxing the synchronization strategy conditionally and considering optimization for branch and loop control structure, our approach can significantly reduce the redundant data communication in most cases.

this paper presents the first generalized reputation system that can be applied to multiple networks that is based on the blockchain. We first discuss current reputation systems, conducting a critical analysis of their current security vulnerabilities, before looking at how new blockchain based technologies are used. We propose an innovative new reputation system that is based on blockchain technologies which aims to solve many unanswered questions in today's current generation reputation systems. We then consider the limitations of such a system, before using simulations and analyses to demonstrate methods of overcoming these limitations. We conclude by suggesting areas for future studies, and summarizing our findings.

In this paper, we propose a method to tackle these two challenges based on space-saving and gossip-based algorithms respectively. Predictions of rainfall events are very important to determine the preventive steps needed to avoid adverse effects with climate change that slowly changing the impact of rain events in Indonesia's area. One way to calculate the prediction of rain events is to use the Lookup Table and Probability of Rain method. To perform that, parallel programming is conducted to help solve large and complex computational problems. In this study, CPU (Central Processing Unit) programming and GPU (Graphical Processing Unit) programming are done to see each performance where computation design and Lookup Table design are implemented on both programming. the results show that CPU programming is more effective for the given case and data rather than GPU programming. Meanwhile, non-ranged Lookup Table design in CPU programming gives more accurate predictions even though it takes more time in computation.
