TOSCA is a standard for modeling the deployment of cloud applications in a vendor-neutral and technology-independent manner that is also suitable for the fog and edge continuum. However, there exist various TOSCA orchestrators with different functionalities. thus, selecting an appropriate TOSCA orchestrator requires technical expertise since all the available orchestrators must be analyzed regarding technical, functional, legal, and organizational requirements. In this paper, we tackle this issue and present a systematic technology review of TOSCA orchestrators. Our goal is to support project managers, developers, and researchers in selecting a suitable TOSCA orchestrator. For this, we select actively maintained general-purpose open-source TOSCA orchestrators. Moreover, we introduce the TOSCA Orchestrator Classification Framework and present a selection support system.

Computational grid can provide abundant powerful computational resources with sharing and cooperation in grid environment. this paper gives an introduction to a collaborative processing mechanism based on workflow technology implemented in ImageGrid the main idea is to encapsulate all parallel algorithms of remote-sensing image processing into grid services and recombine them with grid workflow to satisfy more and more complex remote-sensing, image processing applications. Withthe steady increase of offered cloud storage services, they became a popular alternative to local storage systems. Beside several benefits, the usage of cloud storage services can offer, they have also some downsides like potential vendor lock-in or unavailability. Different pricing models, storage technologies and changing storage requirements are further complicating the selection of the best fitting storage solution. In this work, we present a heuristic optimization approach that optimizes the placement of data on cloud-based storage services in a redundant, cost- and latency-efficient way while considering user-defined Quality of Service requirements. the presented approach uses monitored data access patterns to find the best fitting storage solution. through extensive evaluations, we show that our approach saves up to 30% of the storage cost and reduces the upload and download times by up to 48% and 69% in comparison to a baseline that follows a state-of-the-art approach.

May-Happen-in-parallel (MHP) analysis is a very important and fundamental mechanism to facilitate concurrent program analysis, optimization and even concurrency bug detection. However, the inefficiency in its design and implementation keeps MHP analysis away from being practical and effective. In this paper, we investigate the state-of-art of iterative data flow based (IDFB) MHP analysis and propose a new design and corresponding systematic implementation. Specifically, we address the most severe efficiency problems in node process order of the work-list in the original approach, and resolve them in our design and implementation by using the concept of parallel level to avoid redundant node visits. Our intensive experimental study shows that the proposed design and implementation have a relative speed up of 29.02x compared withthe original implementation, moreover, it achieves a relative speed up of 10.00x comparing to the state-of-art of non-IDFB approach which is claimed to be more efficient than the original IDFB approach. Our design and implementation are capable of achieving an order of magnitude efficiency improvement comparing to both IDFB and non-IDFB approaches.
