Missing data is a typical problem for many hands-on tasks and researches, which has required human intervention and contributed to an increase in errors during algorithms application that demand for a large number of metrics. Solving this particular problem is essential for medicine and healthcare, because it allows more easily diagnosing certain types of diseases, improving medical service quality, etc. the main approach for medical data imputation is to automate this process at all stages, beginning from finding the NA (Not Available) or missing Data, to the completion of the analysis and insertion of lost information entity. the proposed methods of mathematical computing and modeling, statistical functions, data-flow diagrams during the imputation, and the use of computer programming tools should be implemented ni the medical-field to improve and address the missing data issue. the evaluation of key characteristics (algorithin's error, number of imputed data, datasets dimensionality) helped to determine the factors for obtaining the most accurate result with the help of various algorithms and functions. the study is useful for the medical industry in general, since it will eliminate the missing data values in patient medical records by applying statistical methods and artificial intelligence, which will significantly shorten the automation of large datasets processing and thcilitate their descriptive and exploratory analysis during further data discovery to identify certain patterns and features. We propose that a systems engineering methodology may be applied in an effective interactive design environment for lifecycle cost estimation and value optimization in the context of a manufacturing enterprise. In order to optimize a product design for value, engineering and manufacturing businesses need to be able to estimate accurately product lifecycle costs during the early design phases of its development, because this is when the majority of these costs are determined. systems engineering defines realizing value as meeting stakeholder requirements and emphasizes formalizing these in order to link coherently the individual estimated costs of a design to the needs it fulfils. Furthermore, formalized requirement and design parameters are suitable for modelling and simulation, and we envision a systems model implemented within existing knowledge-based engineering tools embedded in a design environment. the results of this model may support design decisions, as well as reinforce systems engineering analyses in evaluating processes for value chain simulations. © 2021, the Author(s).

the article presents a study aimed at developing the fundamental foundations of constructing methods and algorithms for the autonomous positioning of moving objects. the introduction discusses the practical significance of the proposed study, formulates the purpose and objectives of the study. An analytical review of the domestic and foreign scientific and technical base was carried out. the analysis of technologies and methods of positioning. A technique for positioning small-scale mechanization means is proposed, which consists in using approximation methods, a simplified Kalman filter, and a modified trilateration method. In conclusion, descriptions of experimental studies that have shown the adequacy of the developed methodology are given;the effect of using the simplified Kalman filter is calculated. A comparison was made with an analog system, which showed high positioning accuracy compared to applications available on the market. © 2020 IEEE.

the construction industry is globally known as a risky industry because construction projects usually accompanied with high uncertainty in achieving their final objectives (time, cost and quality). the main purpose of this research is to investigate the current practices and methodologies of risk management for the construction industry in Iraq. A mixed research method that involves both qualitative and quantitative approaches is adopted in this research to collect and analyses the primary data. A comprehensive review of the available literature of risk management at the international and local construction projects is conducted followed by interviewing experts and carrying out a questionnaire survey with construction professionals in Iraq. the assessment focuses on the following levels: Project management team awareness and understanding of risk management tools and techniques, methods used to identify risks, currently used risk analysis and ranking techniques, risk management monitoring and controlling procedures, the status of risk management for each project phase, contractors role in applying risk management process, and the relation between risk management and project success. It has been found that the use of risk management techniques in building construction in Iraq is low. Most of contracting companies in Iraq are applying qualitative methods when identifying and analyzing the risky events over quantitative methods. the absence of the risk management team within the project management culture, weak risk planning, the lack of risk management training and knowledge within the construction firm were found to be the main barriers preventing the execution of effective risk management process. © 2020, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

this paper presents an experimental analysis of current Distributed Denial of Service attacks. Our analysis is based on real data collected by a honeynet system that was installed on an ISP edge router, for a four-month period. In the examined scenario, we identify and analyze malicious activities based on packets captured and analyzed by a network protocol sniffer and signature-based attack analysis tools. Our analysis shows that IoT-based DDoS attacks are one of the latest and most proliferating attack trends in network security. Based on the analysis of the attacks, we describe some mitigation techniques that can be applied at the providers' network to mitigate the trending attack vectors.

the United Nations Organization in 2009 estimated that 3 million people are shifting from rural to urban areas every week. this trend is dynamic and is constantly increasing. It is worth asking whether cities are ready to receive new residents and whether the management of metropolises will not be disturbed in the future. the author focuses on the analysis of electronic tools that support cities in everyday life and play an increasingly important role along with technological progress and the degree of advancement of metropolitan management. An important aspect discussed in the article is the analysis of information processes that play a key role in the smooth operation of cities.

At present, Lung cancer is the serious and number one cause of cancer deaths in both men and women in worldwide. Cigarette Smoking can be considered as the principle cause for lung cancer. It can arise in any portion of the lung, but the lung cancer 90%–95% are thought to arise from the epithelial cells, this cells lining the bigger and smaller airways (bronchi and bronchioles). Mainly this paper focus on diagnosing the lung cancer disease using various classification algorithm with the help of python based data mining tools. For this purpose, Lung Cancer dataset has been collected from UCI machine learning repository. three types of pathological cancers have been illustrated in the datasets. In this research paper, the proficiency and potentiality of the classification of Naïve Bayes, Logistic Regression, K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN), Tree, Random Forest, Neural Network in examining the Lung cancer dataset has been investigated to predict the presence of lung cancer with highest accuracy. Performance of the classification algorithms has been compared in terms of classification accuracy, precision, recall, F1 score. Finding out the confusion matrix, Classifier’s overall accuracy, user and producer accuracy individually for each classes and value of kappa statistics have been determined in this paper. Area under Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) curve and distribution plot of the mentioned classifiers have also been showed in this paper. this paper also implemented Principal component analysis (PCA) and visualized classification tree, Multidimensional scaling (MDS) and Hierarchical Clustering. © 2020, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

the pervasiveness of in public sector projects running over budget is a call to all stakeholders to address cost performance issues in the construction industry. this paper proposes a framework for addressing construction cost performance issues that bedevil the public sector. the framework is intended to aid mitigation strategies required to overcome established cost management challenges. the framework was developed through the analysis of data from a qualitative multiple case study research design. Projects and associated interviewees were purposively selected to ensure data alignment to the subject matter;cost management and lean construction. Projects experienced excessive cost overruns and there is a need for a more collaborative solution to managing costs. the data from the interviews were compared with the evidence from project-related documents to develop a framework that was validated through expert interviews conducted among lean construction experts. Excessive cost overruns were experienced from all case studies analysed. thus indicating a continuous problem. Data support the need for a collaborative cost management framework to improve the performance of public sector projects. the collaborative practices and lean tools mentioned for improvement include the 5 Whys, the big room, target value design, and the integration of design and construction. Experts agree that the CCMF demand for professionals to really collaborate and hold them accountable for project delivery success. © 2020, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

the Cyber-Physical systems Virtual Organization (CPS-VO)(1) has been evolving from a shared repository of information into a destination for active collaboration, simulation, hands-on education, and demonstration. We would like to show-case advances in tool integration, particularly a set of verification tools, and how this integration enables reproducibility, improves accessibility, and lowers the barrier to entry in this field. We would also like to demonstrate use of our simulation and tool frameworks, have a poster showing results and progress over the last year, and invite others to host their tools on the CPS-VO infrastructure.
