Withthe advancement of resilient city construction and urban renewal initiatives, the progress of underground utility tunnels has emerged as a significant trend in urban infrastructure. these tunnels play a crucial role in enhancing the comprehensive load-bearing capacity of underground pipelines while optimizing both above-ground and subterranean urban space. Given the concentration of various municipal pipelines such as water, electricity, gas and heat alongside numerous ancillary facilities,the systems within these utility tunnels are extensive and intricate, with numerous safety-related factors. In the event of a disaster, these factors can easily trigger a complex cascade of events. A bidirectional analysis of the evolution and causes of incidents within these tunnels not only aids in pre-emptively mitigating potential risks but also facilitates effective post-incident tracing and management. Current evaluation models, including classification statistics and qualitative-quantitative analysis, offer some theoretical support but often emphasize unidirectional analysis, which fails to capture the full complexity and variability of such incidents. To address this limitation, this paper proposes an innovative evaluation approach that integrates Bayesian network and fault tree analysis. By applying boolean operations on the fault tree, this method thoroughly investigates the root causes of accidents, while the Bayesian network model quantitatively assesses the likelihood of primary accidents and secondary derivative disasters within underground utility tunnels. this approach enables a comprehensive and bidirectional analysis of tunnel accidents, offering a novel perspective and methodology for risk assessment, thereby supporting the safe and stable operation of these critical urban infrastructures.

Mopsa is a multilanguage static analysis platform relying on abstract interpretation. It is able to analyze C, Python, and programs mixing these two languages;we focus on the C analysis here. It provides a novel way to combine abstract domains, in order to offer extensibility and cooperation between them, which is especially beneficial when relational numerical domains are used. the analyses are currently flow-sensitive and fully context-sensitive. We focus only on proving programs to be correct, as our analyses are designed to be sound and terminating but not complete. the idea that the majority of bridges have reached the end of their service life has become widely accepted. the need for continuous monitoring of a large number of structures has become both a duty and a burden for administrations and operators. While technological advancements enable the acquisition of numerous structural parameters, effectively harnessing the vast amount of data generated is not a straightforward task. therefore, an automated tool that can conduct end-to-end analysis with minimal effort and cost is crucial. the presented solution is applied to two different bridges, both in reinforced concrete and instrumented with tailored monitoring systems, from sensors to the cloud-based dashboard. Modal parameters such as vibration modes, modal shapes, and damping are determined using the OMA algorithm, specifically PolyMAX, in an automated process. the analysis are performed through robust software provided by Siemens, e.g. Test Lab. Finally, by enhancing the potential of the cloud for measurement data storage, the implementation of advanced data management tools is being considered as interesting emerging prospects.

Pediatric pneumonia remains a significant concern for public health, underscoring the need for efficient and precise diagnostic tools to enable timely intervention. In this research, we introduce a novel approach for detecting pediatric pneumonia in chest X-ray images. Our method leverages deep features extracted from DenseNet169, MobileNet, and EfficientNetB0 Neural Networks, which capture intricate patterns and textures indicative of pneumonia presence. these extracted features are then inputted into LightGBM, enabling effective learning of complex data patterns and relationships for classification purposes. We evaluated the effectiveness of our technique using a dataset comprising 5856 chest X-ray images from patients. Our approach achieved a remarkable accuracy of 96.16% with EfficientNet in binary classification (Pneumonia, Normal). Our method boasts several advantages, including robustness to variations in image quality, scalability, and interpretability. We evaluated our model's performance based on metrics such as accuracy, sensitivity, precision, specificity, and F1-score, highlighting the potential of combining deep learning and gradient boosting techniques for pediatric pneumonia detection. this paves the way for improved clinical decision support systems in pediatric healthcare settings.
