this paper presents a Multihop Routing Algorithm for Wireless sensor Networks (MBEEC) based on the Dijkstra Algorithm. An important challenge in wireless sensor networks is to balance the energy consumption. the Bio-Inspired Algorithm for Energy Efficient Routing for Continuous Data Dissemination Networks Wireless sensor (BEE-C) can provide important savings on energy consumption but does not provide routing calculations that ensures a long lived topology. Lifetime is an extremely important factor in a Wireless sensor Network, because of the difficulty of maintenance, limited battery, memory and processing that sensors have. MBEEC inherits the properties of BEE-C but uses Dijkstra Algorithm for calculating the routes. To ensure the longer lifetime of the network, MBEEC addresses a multihop algorithm in terms of consumption in a matter more energy efficient than BEE-C using Dijkstra to calculate routes, thus balancing the entire network. © 2015 ieee.

this paper is aimed at the design and development of secure cloud architecture for the Wireless sensor Networks (WSN), in which the sensor data are represented as services and are accessed by the client applications in a secure manner with a simple authentication solution for sensors (SASS). Currently, sensor system needs an intelligent middleware to integrate with the cloud. Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), which makes use of the web services and XML technologies, will provide a solution to meet the current demands. Web services provide a mechanism for open and flexible interaction between heterogeneous systems with loosely coupled service endpoints. Further a technique based on formal specification is utilized which reduces the data volume of xml documents at a level that can be handled by the resource constrained environment of the wireless sensors. the proposed architecture will provide a scalable infrastructure for integrating heterogeneous sensor networks using a small set of powerful abstractions.

Emerging large scale distributed networking systems, such as P2P file sharing systems, sensor networks, and ad hoc wireless networks, require replication of content, functionality, or configuration to enact or optimize communication tasks. the placement of these replicated resources can significantly impact performance. We present a novel self-stabilizing, fully distributed, asynchronous, scalable protocol that can be used to place replicated resources such that each node is "close" to some copy of any object. We describe our protocol in the context of a graph with colored nodes, where a node's color indicates the replica/task that it is assigned. Our combination of theoretical results and simulation prove stabilization of the protocol, and evaluate its performance in the context of convergence time, message transmissions, and color distance. Our results show that the protocol generates colorings that are close to the optimal under a set of metrics, making such a protocol ideal for emerging networking systems. © 2003 ieee.

Nowadays, there is an increasing interest in wireless sensor networks (WSN) for environmental monitoring systems because it can be used to improve the quality of life and living conditions are becoming a major concern to people. this paper describes the design and development of a real time monitoring system based on ZigBee WSN characterized by a lower energy consumption, low cost, reduced dimensions and fast adaptation to the network tree topology. the developed system encompasses an optimized sensing process about environmental parameters, low rate transmission from sensor nodes to the gateway, packet parsing and data storing in a remote database and real time visualization through a web server. A monitoring system integrating the outlined system has been deployed and tested for monitoring the level of dust particles in the air, acoustic levels in different places of a city, ambient temperature and relative humidity. A calibration process of a low cost audio sensor was performed to measure the acoustic level from different noise sources, hence, it is not necessary to use an expensive sound level meter at each node. Furthermore, experimental results show autonomy nodes can be about three months.

Mobile Healthcare (mHealth) systems use mobile smartphones and portable sensor kits to provide improved and affordable healthcare solutions to underserved communities or to individuals with reduced mobility who need regular monitoring. the architectural constraints of such systems provide a variety of computing challenges: the distributed nature of the system;mobility of the persons and devices involved;asynchrony in communication;security, integrity and authenticity of the data collected;and a plethora of administrative domains and the legacy of installed electronic health/medical systems. the volume of data collected can be very large;together with the data, there is a large amount of metadata as well. We argue that certain metadata are essential for interpreting the data and assessing their quality. there is great variety in the kinds of medical data and metadata, the methods by which they are collected and administrative constraints on where they may be stored, which suggest the need for flexible distributed data repositories. there also are concerns about the veracity of the data, as well as interesting questions about who owns the data and who may access them. We argue that traditional notions of relational databases, and security techniques such as access control and encryption of communications are inadequate. Instead, end-to-end systematic (from sensor to cloud) information flow techniques need to be applied for integrity and secrecy. these need to be adapted towork with the volume and diversity of data collected, and in a federated collection of administrative domains where data from different domains are subject to different information flow policies.

sensor networks are increasingly being used for applications which require fast processing of data, such as multimedia processing. distributed computing can be used on a sensor network to reduce the completion time of a task and distribute the energy consumption equitably across all sensors. the distribution of task modules to sensors should consider not only the time and energy savings, but must also improve reliability of the entire task execution. We formulate the above as an optimization problem, and use the A* algorithm with improvements to determine an optimal static allocation of modules among a set of sensors. We also suggest a faster but suboptimal algorithm, called the greedy A* algorithm. Both algorithms have been simulated, and the results have been compared in terms of energy savings, decrease in completion time of the task, and the deviation of the sub-optimal solution from the optimal one. the sub-optimal solution required 8-35% less computation, at the cost of 2.5-15% deviation from the optimal solution in terms of average energy spent per sensor node. Both the A* and greedy A* algorithms have been shown to distribute energy consumption more uniformly across sensors than centralized execution. the greedy A* algorithm is found to be scalable, as the number of evaluations in determining the allocation increases linearly with the number of sensors. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2005.

Cloud computing has become a widely used paradigm in many IT domains such as e-health. It offers several advantages to the users, e.g. elasticity, flexibility and the rapid sharing of a huge set of digital data. However, many security and privacy concerns still pose significant challenges. In particular, the most identified problem is how to enforce the user's security policy in the access control of the outsourced data. In fact, cloud environments does not provide facilities to support high level defined security policies. For instance, the swift storage component of openstack supports only fine grained access control to execute a specific action on a specific defined object. In this paper, we designed and implemented a middleware to provide high level security policies while using such swift fine grained primitives. An e-health collaborative application dedicated for remote diagnosis is used to illustrate the suggested approach. © 2015 ieee.

Today collaborative applications may enable collaboration among users from the same or different tenants of a given cloud provider. During such collaborations, the participants need to access and use resources held by other collaborating users. these resources often contain sensitive data. they are meant to be shared only during specific collaborative sessions. A collaborative session is an abstract entity, comprising a set of users, called members of the session, playing the same or different roles. these users may have concurrent access to the shared objects during a session depending on their roles. In this work, we propose an approach that ensures access control to the shared resources in a collaborative session in multi-tenants environments. We suggest CRBAC, the Collaboration Role-based Access Control. CRBAC consists of an extended version of the RBAC model. CRBAC defines new entities to support access control in collaborative sessions. the suggested model has been implemented within Swift component in the open source cloud-computing platform OpenStack. © 2015 ieee.
