this paper concentrates on bandwidth enhancement of antenna using square Koch fractal (SKF) and Babinet's principle. A quadband transmission line feed tortoise shaped microstrip patch antenna with optimized self - similar slotted ground structure is proposed for C - band (4 - 8GHz) and Ku - band (12 - 18GHz) applications. the overall size of proposed antenna is 33mm x 28mm x 1.6mm. this antenna operates at 4.12GHz (f(1)), 5.92GHz (f(2)), 7.72GHz (f(3)) and 12.40GHz (f(4)). the performance characteristics such as return loss, VSWR, gain, radiation pattern, surface current distribution and radiation efficiency are simulated and concluded.

Organizations use a Network Management System (NMS) to maintain the reliability and integrity of data transmission in their infrastructure, but it lacks network automation features, requiring manual configuration of network devices. the growth of computer networks also increases the risk of DDoS attacks. Previous research has identified a dynamic thresholding algorithm as a potential solution to this issue. However, the algorithm is only a model and has not yet been implemented in practice. this study aims to develop a comprehensive system called Retia that combines network monitoring, device automation, and DDoS mitigation. design-Science Research used as the research methodology. this research uses qualitative data analysis techniques to determine the level of usefulness and improvement on previous research, namely network automation with REST API using Django, DDoS detection system using dynamic thresholding algorithm, and DDoS mitigation system using dynamic access control list. the objective of this research is a prototype to offer network administrators a centralized and streamlined approach to network management. this research successfully implements the Retia System with monitoring, logging, alerting, device configuration, and integration withthe DDoS mitigation system.

this paper investigates semantic communication to enhance the information freshness of status update systems, using time division multiple access (TDMA) as an example. Age of information (AoI) is used to characterize information freshness, defined as the time elapsed since the generation of the last successfully received status update. Prior works on analyzing and optimizing AoI have focused on the conventional bit-oriented communication paradigm, aiming to efficiently and reliably deliver each bit of the update message. When a large number of users take turns transmitting their update messages over a wireless channel to a common access point (AP), conventional bit-oriented TDMA systems may result in a high average AoI because users have to wait a long time for the next update opportunity. To address this problem, we propose a knowledge graph-aided semantic communication for TDMA systems, referred to as KGSC-TDMA, to achieve higher information freshness. Withthe aid of the shared knowledge graph, KGSC-TDMA transmits the meaning of update messages in the form of triplets instead of exact bits, thus reducing the amount of information transmitted and the time to receive update messages. Furthermore, an update in KGSC-TDMA is successful, even with bit errors, as long as the AP can recover the meaning of the message received. Experimental results indicate that KGSC-TDMA outperforms conventional bit-oriented TDMA in average AoI, thanks to shorter packet durations and robust semantic recovery.

this paper presents the design and analysis of an L-band metasurface-based single layer, single band, low loss bandpass filter for GPS applications. the proposed device further offers very good out of band rejection along with very low transmission coefficient of $\mathbf{- 0. 2 3} \mathbf{d B}$ . the filter has been designed using FR-4 substrate $(\varepsilon_{r}=4.4$ and $\tan \delta=0.025)$ for operating at 1.564 GHz which is intended for use in navigation systems such as GPS and GLONASS. Single layer substrate is used and step by step evaluation of design is performed. the results show that the metasurface filter offers improved selectivity, reduced size, increased design flexibility and narrow bandwidth. Navigation systems such as GPS and GLONASS rely on accurate and reliable signal processing to provide location and timing information. the filter exhibits uniform response for phase variation due to four-fold symmetry of the proposed structure along with angular stability up to 40°.

this paper explores the field of robotics with a focus on the design, simulation and control aspects of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs). AUVs’ crucial role in underwater exploration, monitoring and data collection requires advanced imaging and control techniques to improve their effectiveness and reliability. In this study, we propose a comprehensive framework for the design, modelling and integration of various systems into the AUV using the most advanced robotics principles. various control strategies and algorithms are tested, optimized, and validated, facilitating the enhancement of AUV’s capabilities. Using high-precision sensors and complex algorithms for localization, mapping and object detection enables our AUV the capability to perform industry-demanding tasks. the proposed framework not only accelerates AUV research and development but also provides a cost-effective platform for testing complex algorithms before field deployment. the insights gained from this research have the potential to reshape the underwater robotics landscape by driving innovation and efficiency in AUV design and operation.

this article presents a circular and H-slotted wideband microstrip patch antenna with a defected ground for 5G Millimeter Wave (mmWave) applications with a 39.2 GHz resonant frequency. the suggested antenna is designed on Rogers RT5880 substrate (εr=2.2) with a thickness of 0.254 mm. the proposed antenna works from 35.7-47.5 GHz with an impedance bandwidth of 28.36 %. the maximum peak gain is 8.3 dBi achieved. Hence, it is suitable for 5G mm-Wave applications.

this paper proposes and implements an AI-based decision framework for e-learning systems that can assess learners' emotions and adjust the learning activity in order to improve learning performance. An evolutionary genetic algorithm is proposed to identify suitable micro-brake activities to alter learners' emotions in the event learners feel emotions that are not optimal for learning, such as anxiety or sadness, so they can concentrate on learning more effectively. To test the proposed framework, a case study was conducted with English as second language learners over one semester. Fourteen participants were recruited from a gifted school and were randomly allocated to two groups, each consisting of seven participants. the first group was provided access to the system and its break activities, whereas the second group had no access to this system. the results showed that students with access to the system with break activities performed significantly better. this confirmed that micro-break activities, selected based on students' sentiments and inclinations, can have a positive effect on learning performance. the results have also confirmed that the proposed framework was successful in selecting and offering students effective activities that could improve student's mood. the results of this study hold significant practical implications for the design of adaptive e-learning systems and learning management platforms. Additionally, they contribute to the theoretical landscape of AI and learner emotions by proposing an innovative method for identifying, classifying, and providing personalized learning paths tailored to the unique needs of individual learners.
