Image disarranging is the process of randomly rearranging picture elements to make the visibility unreadable and break the link among neighboring elements. Pixel values often don't change while they are being scrambled. there has been a slew of proposed image encryption techniques recently. the two steps that most image encryption algorithms go through are confusion and diffusion. Using a scrambling technique, the pixel positions are permuted during the confusion phase, and an inverse-able function is used to modify the pixel values during the diffusion phase. A good scrambling method practically eliminates the high relationships between adjacent pixels in a picture. In the proposed scheme, XOR based minimization operator is applied on blocks of images followed by Arnold Transform. the suggested design is assessed using a matrix comprising the Structured Similarity Index and the Peak Signal to Noise Ratio. the computed PSNR value less than 10 indicates the input image and scrambled image has high variation. the SSIM value nearer to 0 indicates no similarity in the structure of the input image and scrambled image.

Stress is a global public health problem that leads to severe physical and psychological health risks if not managed. Various stress management interventions have been delivered using mobile health (mHealth) apps. Although there are different existing mobile apps promoting stress-coping strategies, more work is still needed to design and evaluate such apps from a persuasion standpoint. Persuasive mobile apps incorporate persuasive strategies (PS) that work as backbone mechanics to motivate desired behaviour change. therefore, we design and evaluate a mobile app called SereneMind following a five-step process. First, we deconstruct the PS operationalized in 150 stress management apps from both Google Play and App Store to identify the most implemented PS using the Persuasive Systems design (PSD) framework. Second, we design a low-fidelity prototype (LFP) depicting various features of the app based on the top ten PS. third, we conduct a user study involving our target audience to evaluate the perceived persuasiveness/effectiveness of each feature and uncover further improvement based on users' feedback. Fourth, based on our findings from the LFP evaluation, we design a high-fidelity prototype (HFP) using only the features that were perceived as effective by our target audience and applying user suggestions to refine the prototypes. Finally, we run a usability study to evaluate the HFP. Our results show that participants perceived SereneMind as usable and useful for managing stress. therefore, it is more likely to be adopted and used. Lastly, we offer design recommendations for stress management apps in line with our findings.

A congestion control mechanism is needed to balance the network load to prevent pack drops and avoid network deadlocks. the main purpose is to analyze efficient and reliable congestion control methods which will reduce the weaknesses in various existing congestion control methods and propose a framework to minimize the gateway congestion in the network. As the demand of heterogeneous users of computer network day by day dynamically and rapidly changing in many aspects, grounded on the application situations our congestion control mechanism functions well in the situations that occur in Internet. the maximum degree of dynamics can be handle efficiently by keeping the generality of its existing end-to-end solution in our congestion control design.

the proposed system integrates face recognition and Internet of things (IoT) technology to revolutionize the hospitality industry. It uses OpenCV, a widely recognized computer vision library, to deliver smooth, contactless guest services and rigorous identification verification. this paper proposes a novel method to improve visitor experiences by removing check-in and allowing personalized services. the IoT -enabled face recognition system presented in this paper streamlines the visitor experiences. Facial biometrics eliminates the need for identity papers, making the check-in process simple. the proposed system, OpenCV, is used for face detection, identification, and verification. the system's design includes strategically positioned cameras for visitor identification and tracking. Health and safety are crucial, so this system's contactless nature is a major benefit. the solution also increases visitor safety by lowering the danger of fraud and illegal access. the IoT-enabled face recognition technology improves operational efficiency, guest satisfaction, and security in the hospital industry.

this paper proposes a simplified methodology to predict the axial strength gain and the ultimate strain gain required to establish the axial force-moment interaction diagram of fully grouted reinforced masonry columns (RMCs) strengthened with Fiber Reinforced Polymers (FRP) jackets. the methodology considers short prismatic RMCs failing in a compression controlled-manner and it complies with equilibrium and strain compatibility principles. the proposed procedure is designed to predict the nominal capacity of RMCs for practical design applications, where the columns are subjected to both axial load and bending moment. the essential parameters to perform detailed section analysis are established, and suggested expressions are proposed to obtain the parameters' values. Practical values for the equivalent rectangular stress block parameters are proposed, which represent the actual stress distribution in the compression zone of FRP-confined concrete masonry section. the theoretical axial force-moment interaction diagrams obtained by the proposed procedure were compared with the available experimental data. the experimental test results are in good agreement with the analytical predictions by a good margin. Constant value of 0.80 for the parameters α and β of the equivalent rectangular stress block are recommended for simplicity. the mean absolute percentage error was less than 6% between the experimental data and analytical predictions. © 2022 international conference on Structural Health Monitoring of Intelligent Infrastructure: Transferring Research into Practice, SHMII. Adaptive steganography emplaces the message into the hard-to-detect noise area or the complex texture area of the image, so the steganography analysis method based on artificial design features needs to design a very complex feature extraction algorithm to detect the steganography image. In view of the advantages of deep learning steganography in automatic extraction of image features and high detection accuracy, an image steganography analysis algorithm is designed by using deep convolutional neural network, and an image steganography analysis system based on deep learning is developed. the system realizes the functions of neural network structure analysis, image steganography and verification, steganography analysis and so on. the system simplifies the operation process of algorithm comparison, reduces the complexity of algorithm performance evaluation, and verifies the feasibility of the proposed algorithm. © 2022, the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Today's pandemic situation has transformed the way of educating a student. Education is undertaken remotely through online platforms. In addition to the way the online course contents and online teaching, it has also changed the way of assessments. In online education, monitoring the attendance of the students is very important as the presence of students is part of a good assessment for teaching and learning. Educational institutions have adopting online examination portals for the assessments of the students. these portals make use of face recognition techniques to monitor the activities of the students and identify the malpractice done by them. this is done by capturing the students' activities through a web camera and analyzing their gestures and postures. Image processing algorithms are widely used in the literature to perform face recognition. Despite the progress made to improve the performance of face detection systems, there are issues such as variations in human facial appearance like varying lighting condition, noise in face images, scale, pose etc., that blocks the progress to reach human level accuracy. the aim of this study is to increase the accuracy of the existing face recognition systems by making use of SVM and Eigenface algorithms. In this project, an approach similar to Eigenface is used for extracting facial features through facial vectors and the datasets are trained using Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm to perform face classification and detection. this ensures that the face recognition can be faster and be used for online exam monitoring.

Smartphones are an inevitable part of our lives. the flashing screen of smartphones serves as a perfect distraction medium, one that facilitates procrastination. With access to multitude of apps, university students often slack in day-to-day activities which in turn affects their personal and professional lives. Mobile health apps that help people reduce procrastination exist, but their efficacy with respect to motivating users to achieve their goals is unknown and they often do not involve the target users in their design. To address this gap, we designed ProTaskinator, a persuasive mobile application to help university students reduce procrastination. We used a user-centered design approach which involves iteratively designing low-fidelity prototype, evaluation, and a high-fidelity prototype implementing various evidence-based persuasive strategies. Forty-four (44) university students evaluated the usability of ProTaskinator. Survey and semi-structured interviews were conducted to assess participants' perceived persuasiveness of the app and implemented strategies. Our results revealed that personalization and self-monitoring were the most effective persuasive strategies, and all the implemented strategies were found to be strongly persuasive. Overall, about 80% ( $N=35$ ) of our participants found the app persuasive, easy-to-use, and relevant for reducing procrastination. We also conducted a thematic analysis of participants' qualitative feedback to uncover more insights. the findings from our evaluation show the potential of ProTaskinator in helping university students regulate the often-overlooked challenge of procrastination.

Neurologically impaired patients usually suffer from upper limb problems which affect their capabilities to perform activities of daily living (ADLs). To improve patients' quality of life, several robots have been developed to deliver ADL trainings with haptic feedback which composes of interactive force that simulates tasks in physical world and haptic assistance/resistance derived from task-oriented control strategies. Specifically, the reality of delivered interactive force greatly relies on proper force modeling and robotic prototype. However, the majority of existing force models designed for rehabilitation are generally simplified to represent rigid bodies, which could not satisfy the increasing demands for modeling soft objects in complicated environment. Suitable robotic design should be determined to deliver these trainings. Herein, a training system that allows delivery of ADL tasks involving soft object manipulation is developed in this study. the system composes of a force simulator and a rehabilitation robot. Experiments were performed on a healthy individual with a cutting bread task. Effectiveness of this system was validated from following aspects: the robotic position/force tracing performance and realization of training task. Specifically, the position tracing error of robot was less than 2 mm and relative force tracing error was 5.5%. the individual was capable to perform cutting task, the average motion error was 0.13 mm. these results indicate that the proposed system has potential in delivering ADL trainings that involve soft object interaction. Future work will optimize the force tracing performance and examine this application in terms of clinical tests.

the Internet of things (IoT) refers to the growing network of connected physical objects embedded with sensors, software and connectivity. While IoT has potential benefits, it also introduces new cyber security risks. this paper provides an overview of IoT security issues, vulnerabilities, threats, and mitigation strategies. the key vulnerabilities arising from IoT's scale, ubiquity and connectivity include inadequate authentication, lack of encryption, poor software security, and privacy concerns. Common attacks against IoT devices and networks include denial of service, ransom-ware, man-in-the-middle, and spoofing. An analysis of recent literature highlights emerging attack trends like swarm-based DDoS, IoT botnets, and automated large-scale exploits. Recommended techniques to secure IoT include building security into architecture and design, access control, cryptography, regular patching and upgrades, activity monitoring, incident response plans, and end-user education. Future technologies like blockchain, AI-enabled defense, and post-quantum cryptography can help strengthen IoT security. Additional focus areas include shared threat intelligence, security testing, certification programs, international standards and collaboration between industry, government and academia. A robust multilayered defense combining preventive and detective controls is required to combat rising IoT threats. this paper provides a comprehensive overview of the IoT security landscape and identifies areas for continued research and development.
