A collaborative tool allows a group of users to achieve a common goal. It provides the means for communication, coordination, collaboration, and social regulation. Currently, there are collaborative tools to support the design of the software development process. these tools involve group collaboration to generate design deliverables. However, few of them focus on a user-centered design or those that do leave aside the collaborative environment that considers the social needs of the workgroup. this article proposes a collaborative tool for the making of user-centered design deliverables. We show the bases for developing the tool, considering the expert opinions. Besides, from group activity analysis, a conceptual architecture is proposed. the conceptual architecture considers an interaction layer, a functional layer, and a social layer, focusing on a collaborative environment for teamwork. In addition, we present a prototype derived from the architecture, allowing us to verify its usefulness.

the appearance of fire fighting robot brings great help to firefighters. the ability of fire fighting robot to perform tasks not only depends on the performance of robot equipment itself, but also depends on the remote control and command of the robot by the operator using the ground station. the fire-fighting robot system consists of the robot running part and the ground station part. the two main functions of the ground station are monitoring and control. the monitoring content includes the robot equipment status and real-time image. Control is mainly robot operation – robot start and stop, rotation, water spraying, video recording and other commands can be issued from the ground station. therefore, the research and design of the ground station system which is a part of the fire fighting robot system has important role and practical significance. this paper mainly introduces the basic structure of the fire robot ground station, such as picture transmission, digital transmission, power supply system, design image transmission, to meet the actual needs of the long endurance power supply and its protection module. © 2022, the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

this study examines the B2C product and price policy of mobile providers based on 14 expert interviews (13 in Germany and one in Switzerland) conducted in 2023. We interviewed employees of mobile network operators, service providers, consultancies, a research institute, and a price comparison portal to gain insights into pricing strategies, willingness to pay (WTP), and other aspects of mobile markets (e.g., 5G technology). As a result, the experts in the B2C sector see the main challenges for 5G (and future technologies) in the lack of market-ready use cases, restrictive regulatory framework conditions, and parallel/hybrid technologies. the findings are particularly relevant for mobile providers to set competitive prices and increase profitability. Product managers from other industries and economic or marketing scientists can also benefit from the research results on pricing and WTP, including the hypothetical bias (HB).

this paper presents a design scheme of space-borne multifunctional integrated hardware processing platform. this platform is characterized by low power consumption, small size and light weight. At the same time, the scheme has the feature of reconfiguration, which maximizes the function of software. this paper presents investigations on propagation within an indoor environment based on extensive simulations; the study was based on simulations conducted using Ray-tracing software at 39 GHz. the study considers some of the directional and omnidirectional channel characteristics, including path loss exponent (PLE), delay spread (DS), the number of ray clusters, and the number of rays per cluster in both line-of-sight (LOS) and Non-LOS (NLOS) propagation scenarios. It was found that PLE and DS are frequency-dependent. Also, the number of clusters tends to follow a Poisson distribution, while LOS tends to follow a decaying exponential distribution.

this paper presents the implementation of a bandgap current and proportional to absolute temperature (PTAT) current reference circuits. An on-chip digital calibration circuit is incorporated into the circuits to compensate for the effect of process-induced variations. A start-up circuit that functions without any external signal is also included in the bandgap. the circuits were designed and fabricated in 180 nm CMOS process. the circuits operate with a supply voltage of 1.8V and occupy a total area of 312 × 210 µm 2 . the combined power consumption of the bandgap and PTAT circuits is 210 µW. Measurements in the fabricated test chip show that the bandgap circuit generates a current of 19.2 µA at ambient temperature and exhibits a temperature coefficient of 110 ppm/°C over a temperature range of 0 to 100 °C. the PTAT circuit was observed to generate a current of 3.6 µA at ambient temperature with a slope of 0.014 µA/°C over a temperature range of 0 to 100 °C.

High current ripple leads to higher torque ripple in medium-voltage (MV) motor drive systems, and poses significant drawbacks like accelerated vibration and noise, increased wear and tear, and poor efficiency. this paper introduces an improved model predictive current control (MPCC) strategy to minimize the current ripple, thereby reducing torque ripple in multilevel inverter (MLI) fed MV motor drives. In the proposed method, the corrector stage is incorporated to enhance the prediction process, thus effectively minimizing computational errors. this approach further improves current harmonic performance and lowers flying capacitor (FC) ripples, leading to reduced torque fluctuations. To validate the efficacy of the proposed MPCC, simulation studies are conducted on a four-level inverter fed MV motor drive and its performance is compared with the conventional MPCC method. © 2024 IEEE.

In Ethiopia, imported and locally manufactured electric stoves are used for cooking and baking food. An imported electric stove consumes less electric power, whereas locally manufactured electric stoves are the most energyconsuming appliances in the household. In both cases, electric power is dissipated in the form of heat through the resistor even though the power indicator is in the closed position in an imported electric stove because current flowing through the resistor is maintained. Due to this problem, an automatic heat control mechanism is designed in order to reduce unwanted excess heat loss. In addition to this, it solves different problems in society, such as reducing time, material consumption, resource waste, and human power. the required data for the project was gathered from the published papers, EEU, and from local communities through an oral interview about the cost and electric consumption of imported and locally manufactured electric stoves. the market's supply of temperature controllers, resistors, and contactors, as well as their attributes, were evaluated. One customer's annual savings in electric energy use was 1,805.983 KWh on average. An automatic heat management system allows society to conserve energy. the University of Gondar, Institute of Technology, created and manufactured the electric stove with an automated heat management system. this electric stove will be moved to the student café on the UoG Fasil campus.

At present, intelligent robot technology is widely used in all aspects of people’s production and life. Using intelligent robots instead of manual to realize automatic sorting is an essential direction of future development. Color sorting robot is an important research object in the field of sorting robot. Based on the introduction of the theory of three primary colors, this paper analyzes the color recognition principle of the TCS3200 color sensor of TAOS company. It expounds on the necessity of white balance. A color block sorting robot is designed with an ATmega16 single-chip microcomputer as the brain, color sensor and gray sensor as the sense organ of the robot, and steering gear as the robot’s moving parts. It can realize the functions of recognition, sorting, and handling of different color blocks. In color recognition, the strategy of multiple detections and high probability results is adopted, which significantly improves the accuracy of detection. the system has a particular practical value. © 2022, the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
