As cloud computing technology matures and becomes more widespread, internet-based businesses and applications of artificial intelligence become increasingly intricate. Enterprises are now more sensitive to factors such as data sensitivity, compliance requirements, and personalized needs. the surge in demand for extensive and diversified computing power is propelling the growth of the cloud hosting industry. Consequently, the expectations from cloud hosting now encompass requirements for comprehensive capabilities, security, and open compatibility. Enabling computing power, ensuring compatibility with the full-stack ecosystem, and optimizing security systems have emerged as inevitable trends in the evolution of cloud hosting services. this paper delves into the technical architecture and operational framework of full-stack cloud hosting, leveraging a range of cloud-native technologies including containers, micro-services, and DevOps. Additionally, a holistic approach to security system design is proposed to address the security challenges inherent in full-stack cloud hosting. through tiered deployment and multi-level isolation, this approach aims to enhance the efficiency of cloud hosting business operations while providing robust security protection for cloud resources from various angles.

this paper studies and analyzes quantitative model-based fault diagnosis method, and then presents a design of quantitative model-based fault diagnosis structural strategy. It can isolate the faults of actuator and sensor with reduced quantitative models. the strategy is proposed based on the analysis of traditional quantitative model-based fault diagnosis method. By redefining the analytical model-based method, the process of fault isolation is studied with the conception of support component. the effectiveness of the proposed strategy is also analyzed in the paper. Finally, the proposed structural strategy is applied for fault diagnosis of satellite attitude control system. © 2021, ICST Institute for computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering.

Interior permanent magnet synchronous machines (IPMSMs) are becoming widely considered in many applications, including appliances, manufacturing machinery, medical equipment, military equipment, propulsion systems, servo systems, etc. In IPMSMs, the flux linkage may vary significantly depending on the design and operating conditions, and their accurate modeling and control are essential. Look-up tables (LUTs) may be used to represent the flux-current relationship, which inherits the magnetic-flux saturation and cross-coupling characteristics. this paper presented a variable-parameter (inductance) field-oriented control (FOC) strategy with a feedforward speed loop for IPMSM drives, wherein the LUTs are used to represent the current-flux relationship and update the gains of the PI controllers for better decoupling between the q- and d-axes currents. the simulation studies demonstrate the proposed methodology of the variable-parameter FOC for IPMSMs in the unsaturated and saturated regions and its advantages over the conventional FOC algorithm.

Since the beginning, progress in medicine has been strongly linked to technological advances, and more recently many discoveries and advances in medicine and pharmacology are dependent on new tools and techniques from computer science. In particular, with the revival of artificial intelligence and the re-emergence of machine learning through deep neural networks, many researchers are proposing to incorporate machine learning techniques into systems for disease prediction, diagnosis, or drug design, as part of the individualized medicine that is emerging as a promising way to treat patients. In this work, we focus on personalized medicine through individualized therapy, based on treatment outcomes. For that purpose, we use a convolutional neural network, as a deep learning algorithm known for its effectiveness in features extraction from a given pattern. In our case, a pattern is a collection of variables that describe the treatment and the classes stand for the outcomes of the treatment. Experiments are carried on a public dataset that describes the wart treatment and its results. Experimental results show the potential of the CNN to predict the correct outcome, and hence its benefits in the context of personalized medicine. © 2021 IEEE.

the development and use of virtual systems to learn and perform remotely complex action sequences has many applications from rehabilitation to military training. the examination of human cognitive-motor control and learning processes in individuals executing a task physically in-person and remotely via a virtual system can help with the design of such systems as well as inform human performance. An important application of such virtual systems is the remote assessment of cognitive-motor performance and learning for the neurorehabilitation of individuals with neural deficits (e.g., Veterans). this study is a first step that examined performance, mental workload, and fatigue in healthy individuals during remote practice of action sequences compared to physical in-person training. Here individuals were either required to practice an action sequence task physically (in the lab) or remotely (outside the lab) via a virtual system. Action sequence performance, mental workload and fatigue were collected for both remote and physical practice. Findings suggest that remote training via a virtual system improved performance and reduced mental workload leading to enhanced cognitive-motor efficiency similarly to physical practice, while limited practice-induced fatigue effects were observed. To extend this study, future work will consider varying interface characteristics and using EEG with various healthy and clinical populations.

Group decision-making in large-scale environments presents significant challenges due to the complexity of interactions and the necessity for efficient consensus-reaching mechanisms. Traditional approaches often struggle with balancing decision accuracy and computational efficiency, especially in dynamic settings where trust among experts varies. Addressing these challenges, this research presents a novel approach to improving the Consensus Reaching Process (CRP) in Large-Scale Group Decision-Making (LSGDM) based on limited trust and social networks. the primary objective of this method is to enhance the accuracy and speed of the group decision-making process by utilizing machine learning algorithms such as Random Forest in conjunction with social network-based feature learning. the proposed method incorporates various machine learning mechanisms to optimize the consensus process in large-scale group decision-making based on limited trust. Simulation results indicate that the proposed method outperforms traditional approaches, such as Weighted Fuzzy C-Means (WFCM), in reducing the time required to reach a consensus and improving decision-making quality. the evaluation, conducted using PBM and Dunn indices, clearly demonstrates the superiority of the proposed method across most experimental datasets. In addition to numerical improvements, the analysis of trust relationships among experts revealed that this approach has effectively strengthened group interactions and increased expert satisfaction. the practical applications of this method span various fields, including supply chain management, recommender system design, and marketing data analysis, where it can contribute to more efficient decision-making processes. Overall, this research introduces a novel framework for utilizing machine learning in optimizing the group decisionmaking process, which can also be highly effective in areas such as e-commerce and social network management. the results show that the propo

Ad-hoc networks are a communication protocol used in various sectors, particularly in military technologies. Unlike traditional network structures, Ad-hoc networks operate on the principle of peer-to-peer communication. Since the nodes within the network are not connected to a cellular infrastructure, distributed algorithms are required for the communication of nodes. However, it is important to carefully design these distributed algorithms based on essential criteria due to the challenges associated with ad-hoc networks. these criterias are considered to be particularly important when dealing with dynamically variable networks, such as a mobile ad-hoc networks. Mobile ad-hoc networks face significant challenges related to scaling, energy consumption, and stability. To address these challenges, various clustering algorithms employed, each with its own benefits and costs. In this study, a connected dominating set algorithm is proposed for mobile ad hoc networks, which can provide workload balance and protect the backbone structure relatively against mobility and can be an alternative solution to the congestion occurring on a single backbone by creating multiple backbone structures.

the use of Additive Manufacturing (AM) has rapidly accelerated in many domains ranging from avionics to rockets. Because AM produces physical components by interpreting digital design files, techniques must be developed to bridge the cyber and physical domains to establish a verifiable connection between the digital identity of a component (e.g. STL file, G-code) and the physical manifestation of the component instance (i.e. the 3D printed object). this work introduces a cyber-physical approach to hide cyber-information in AM part designs that enables unique identification of printed components using steganography and computer vision. We describe CASTL ("castle") which stands for Cyber-physical Authentication of STL file, and allows for unique association between digital information describing a component instance and the printed component itself. the main contribution of CASTL is the combination of generative steganography and image processing to embed component metadata into a CAD image and recover this same metadata from an image of the manufactured component, creating a coupling between a component's digital identity and its physical manifestation, which we term Cyber-physical Authentication (CPA). CASTL facilitates CPA of additively manufactured objects, fostering increased transparency and enhanced cyber-physical security guarantees for additively manufactured components. © 2021 Elsevier B.V.. this researcher's goal is to create and deploy a remote control system by utilizing an affordable and easy-to-use Internet of things (IoT) platform. the design of the circuit described in this article consists of an Arduino Mega 2560, an ESP8266 microcontroller, and a gyroscope sensor as its constituent components. the utilization of the gyroscope sensor could potentially facilitate the determination of the robot's orientation, thereby enabling the preservation of its equilibrium during the traversal of the stairwell. the locomotion system of the robot potentially incorporates a pair of direct current motors to drive its wheels, thereby facilitating its ability to ascend staircases. the stair-climbing robot underwent comprehensive testing to evaluate its performance, with a specific focus on aligning operational values with anticipated values. During the robot's ascent of stairs, the study revealed an average inclination angle of 90.5671 degrees, with a minimal deviation of 0.6301 degrees. As the robot descended the stairs, the average total inclination measured at 89.6883 degrees, accompanied by a percentage error of 0.3463 degrees, all while participants walked on a determined level surface. Additionally, while navigating flat terrain, the average inclination degree was 91.60173 degrees, with a percentage error of 1.7797 degrees. Notably, during stair climbing, the mean inclination angle was 138.1558 degrees, showing a mean variation of 1.3172 degrees. Each stair-climbing rotation came with its associated error value, though the average gyroscope readings consistently fell within an acceptable range of parameters, indicating satisfactory performance.
