In this paper, we propose algorithm-hardware codesign methods for computing systems, from the embedded systems level to the datacenter level, to bridge the affordability compute-demand gap between software and hardware. At the embedded systems level, we propose hardware (HW) / software (SW) co-design methods under increased uncertainty in design parameters. Our work lays the foundation for uncertainty modeling and robust multi-objective optimization for embedded systems. Specifically, it provides computer-aided tools for solving the problem of mapping that incorporate novel design methods to achieve robust high performance embedded systems design. Al the datacenter level, we propose algorithm-hardware co-designthat leverages deep learning methods to reduce energy consumption at both chip multiprocessor (CMP) / server and datacenter levels. Domain-Driven design (DDD) is an approach that proposes to align business and technical concerns through analysis of the business domain. Microservices practitioners have adopted this approach in software development. However, there is no certainty of the patterns, techniques, and artifacts used. this study analyzes and reports the state of the literature on DDD usage for microservices-based systems development. this study is intended for practitioners and researchers on Microservice Architecture (MSA), DDD, or both. A systematic mapping study followed seven research questions as a guideline, resulting in 27 studies identified to answer the questions through data analysis and synthesis. As a summary of the findings: (i) the microservice identification through domain or legacy system decomposition is the main objective for which DDD was used. (ii) there were 31 MSA systems and 11design artifacts related to DDD. (iii) Bounded context was the pattern most used for microservices design, followed by Entity and Aggregate. (iv) there were three technologies related to DDD applied in MSA systems design. (v) A total of six techniques used together with DDD were identified. (vi) Six limitations were reported in development descriptions. (vii) Sixteen proposals for MSA systems development with DDD were identified and grouped into five types. As a conclusion of this work, DDD allowed the authors to get a design solution driven by domain knowledge that was detailed using other artifacts, techniques, and proposals.

design of an Electric boat with solar power charging is proposed here for the water transport of Bangladesh. the design includes the installation of a solar charging station with a net metering system;where all the boats can be charged when needed instead of placing solar panels in each boat. the speed and dimensions of the boat have been selected based on the requirements and availability of boats in different regions of Bangladesh. the simulation results show that the boat can have a reasonable range of operation after each charging. the cost analysis is also performed and the payback period is found to be low. the system can pave the way for using green energy in the river transport of Bangladesh.

the paper presents a mathematical model and simulation of resistance spot welding (RSW) of a binary alloy during the final solidification process. After analyzing the heat distribution and heat transfer process, the authors established assumptions for a planar front solidification model. Following the application of initial and boundary conditions, the model is developed numerically to describe the thermal distribution in the resistance spot welding system as a function of position and time. For each value in the time array, a heat transfer profile through the welding sheet is calculated as a piecewise function. the model is further executed with Python, which allows customized inputs of resistance spot welding parameters. Finally, the heat transfer model is simulated with COMSOL Multiphysics in the specific example of 1050 mild steel. Heat transfer module is applied to the proposed mathematical model, and simulation of temperature profile and thermal gradient of the welding zones are developed. the simulation further confirms the mathematical model and provides a demonstration that the temperature decreases through boththe water-cooled welding tips and thermal diffusion to the surrounding metal sheets, leading to adjacent heat-affected zones. the model is intended for predicting the resistance spot welding nugget solidification process, as well as to help analyze the effects of welding parameters to achieve a weld nugget of optimal size.
