Technology is transforming the way engineering designers work and interact with others;Synchronous collaborative computer-aided design (CAD) tools allow designers to manipulate the same model at the same time. We present a new method using automated facial emotion detection software and cursor tracking to map designer emotions and corresponding designer activities, in synchronous collaborative CAD. We present findings from a dataset of 9 participants that were assigned to two distinct working styles in the same synchronous CAD environment: single participants working by themselves and paired participants working together. In general, our results show that designers working in the paired workflow exhibited more emotion compared to designers who worked alone. A frequency analysis was performed by linking occurrences of each emotional response to their antecedent activities, revealing that user emotions were predictable to some degree by specific antecedent activities of CAD work. We concluded that activities happening in the graphics area were the most frequent antecedent events of emotions for single-users, while for paired participants, activities in the chat section and feature menu were the most frequent antecedent events for joy and fear, respectively. Finally, logistic regression was applied for each combination of event and emotion for each participant in. order to further investigate the relationships between the user activities and emotions, and meta-regression was used to aggregate the regression results for the two different working styles. In (particular, for single-users, activities in the model tree were found to be positively correlated to joy and negatively correlated to disgust, and navigating the feature menu increased the likelihood of contempt. Clinicians refer to diagnosed medical cases in order to make correct diagnosis and take appropriate treatments, due to the complexity of focal liver lesions. It's a heavy burden, however, for medical doctors to find out similar and meaningful cases from the accumulated extreme large medical datasets. Content based medical image retrieval (CBMIR) that searches for similar images in a large database has been attracting increasing research interest recently. A CBMIR system provides doctors the diagnosed cases to improve the diagnosis accuracy and confidence. this paper proposed a tensor sparse representation method to extract temporal and spatial features of multi-phase CT images, so as to provide doctors medical cases more relevant to the query one. the proposed tensor sparse representation method is applied to the retrieval of focal liver lesions (FLLs). Experiments show that the proposed method achieved better retrieval performance than conventional methods. Pilot trial was conducted and results show that diagnosis accuracy and confidence was improved significantly by the developed CBMIR system based on the proposed method.

the construction of nonlinear three-dimensional models of interconnected communities number dynamics is considered, taking into account competition in populations of victims. A qualitative research of the systems is carried out, equilibrium states are found, the species number dynamics graphs are constructed. For these models, an estimate of the model parameters is given and local phase portraits are constructed. the transition to the corresponding stochastic models is made. In stochastic cases, the method of constructing self-consistent stochastic models is used. A comparative analysis of deterministic and stochastic models is carried out. Effects typical for three-dimensional models with regard to competition in prey populations are revealed. A software package for the numerical solution of differential equations systems by modified Runge-Kutta methods is used as a software tool for researching the model. the software package allows performing numerical experiments based on the implementation of algorithms for generating trajectories of multidimensional Wiener processes and multipoint distributions and algorithms for solving stochastic differential equations. the formulation of the optimal control problem is proposed. computer research of the models makes it possible to obtain the results of numerical experiments on the search for trajectories and the estimation of parameters. the results obtained can find application in problems of ecological systems computer modeling, as well as in problems of synthesis, optimal control and analysis of the multidimensional stochastic models stability describing the dynamics of interacting populations. © 2021 Copyright for this paper by its authors. With the rapid development of electric vehicles in recent years, many sharing and trading platforms for charging station have emerged. However, most of these platforms adopt a centralized management structure, and there are many problems. Users and transaction information are kept by the platform unilaterally, so there are risks of information leakage and transaction data tampering. the transaction process is not regulated, and some irregular institutions use the rights of the center to harm the interests of users. In order to deal with these problems, a new type of trustless charging station transaction platform is needed. Blockchain has the characteristics of distributed storage, consistent algorithm and asymmetric encryption. And it uses smart contracts to complete the transfer of funds and can effectively solve the trust and security issues in charging transactions. In view of the above research content, first we briefly introduce the operation mode of the decentralized charging station transaction system. After demand analysis, the blockchain-based charging station transaction system is designed. the underwater robot (ROV) designed in this paper includes two parts: an underwater actuator and a ground controller. the mechanical parts of ROV include frame, manipulator and pressure cabin, etc., and adopt an open-frame structure. the software part is programmed in C language on the keil platform. the ground controller collects rocker data through ADC for motion control of the underwater actuator. the LCD screen can display the ROV’s attitude angle and various sensor data. the underwater actuator receives the rocker data to drive the brushless DC motor (BLDCM). When there is no rocker to control the ROV movement, the ROV automatically adjusts the attitude according to the attitude angle data of the gyroscope and downloads the program to the STM32 MCU to control the drive program. the controller and the actuator use two STM32 single-chip microcomputers. CAN communication is used between the STM32 MCUs. It is equipped with 6 forward and reverse BLDCMs, electronic speed controller (ESC), lights, manipulators, depth, temperature, water quality and other sensors. there are sensors such as switching power supply, electronic speed controller, camera, gyroscope, etc., which can realize four-degree-of-freedom movement and information collection. © 2022, the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Edge computing is an extension of IoT evolution and cloud computing technology development, which is closer to data sources and can provide low-latency and high-bandwidth service support to end users. In this paper, we propose a blockchain-enabled offloading method for edge computing to address the data silos and high latency of service delivery in the healthcare industry, using a cloud-edge-chain three-layer underlying architecture model to achieve a joint design of task offloading and blockchain updates to improve the quality of healthcare services, and blockchain technology to provide authentication for edge service nodes to improve system security, data traceability, and user identity management. the results show that compared with the traditional reinforcement learning Q-learning algorithm, the computational offloading method of the DRLO algorithm designed in this paper converges faster and can effectively reduce the total system processing latency under the same conditions, with a 26% reduction in system processing latency and a 9.2% increase in reward value. Meanwhile, with the change of local terminal computing resources, the algorithm proposed in this paper can still keep the total system latency at a low level.

In this study, an agent-based transport simulation is used to look into different design concepts for demand responsive transit (DRT). In different simulation experiments for a real-world case study of the Greater Berlin area, the DRT service area is either set to the inner-city center area or the entire city area, and the DRT pricing scheme is varied. the existing simulation framework is extended by an iterative approximation approach to improve the computational performance. the simulation results show that a small service area and too low prices may result in an unwanted mode shift effect from walk and bicycle to DRT. For higher fares, the unwanted mode shift effect is reduced and fewer users switch from bicycle and walk to DRT. the simulation experiments also show that a larger DRT service area contributes towards an increase of the desired mode shift effect from car to DRT. the cooperative microsatellite swarm network has the advantages of low construction cost, short development cycle, flexible working mode and strong anti-destruction ability. In the network, micro-satellite nodes need to complete network control functions such as link maintenance, state monitoring and routing calculation. the valuable on-board payload and inter-satellite link resources are consumed. In order to reduce the energy consumption of satellite communication transmission, this paper focus on the routing issue in swarm network. A specific routing protocol is proposed, which defines the uniform format of swarm network packets suiting for path addressing based multi-hop transfer and the header deletion technique based packet routing scheme. An algorithm for optimal routing in swarm networks is devised, in which the transmission power consumption and the transfer time delay are chosen as the primarily concerned factors. the routing problem is mathematically formulated as a constrained optimization problem, with the total transmission power consumption of satellites as the optimization objective and with the transfer time delay as the constraint respectively. then the graph theory approach is utilized as the tool to solve the problem. Microgrids with energy storage systems and distributed renewable energy sources play a crucial role in reducing the consumption from traditional power sources and the emission of CO2. Connecting multi microgrid to a distribution power grid can facilitate a more robust and reliable operation to increase the security and privacy of the system. the proposed model consists of three layers, smart grid layer, independent system operator (ISO) layer and power grid layer. Each layer aims to maximise its benefit. To achieve these objectives, an intelligent multi-microgrid energy management method is proposed based on the multi-objective reinforcement learning (MORL) techniques, leading to a Pareto optimal set. A non-dominated solution is selected to implement a fair design in order not to favour any particular participant. the simulation results demonstrate the performance of the MORL and verify the viability of the proposed approach. © 2021, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.
