In this paper we review the overall process for the design, development, and deployment of "What I See Is What You Get", an experiential installation that creates live interactive visuals, by analyzing human facial expressions and behaviors, accompanied by text generated using Machine Learning algorithms trained on the art collection of the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles. the project is developed by students and faculty in an academic environment and exhibited at the Getty Museum. We also study the pedagogical process implemented to address the curriculum's learning outcomes in an "applied" environment while designing a contemporary new media art piece. Special attention is paid to the level and quality of the interaction between users and the piece, demonstrating how advances in technology and computing such as Deep Learning and Natural Language Processing can contribute to deeper connections and new layers of interactivity.

Based on many years of experience in the development and implementation of systems of continuous monitoring of transport infrastructure facilities, the authors have designed an architecture that allows the most efficient and rational arrangement of such systems. the paper notes the need for and importance of universalizing the development, design and implementation of technical diagnostics and monitoring systems of transport infrastructure facilities. It also gives detailed description of universal monitoring system architecture, as well as a roadmap for the development of universal hardware and software platform for this system. Main components of monitoring systems are de-fined. Recommendations are given to be followed when developing the monitoring systems. It is emphasized that a monitoring system can and should be built to make “energy management” possible through minimization of both energy consumption for implementation of operating procedures and reduction of the carbon footprint from the transport infrastructure facilities. Monitoring systems should be a means that help to build highly immune and energy efficient “green” transport infrastructure facilities.

In this paper, we introduce a feature preserving surface reconstruction algorithm to produce a high fidelity triangulated mesh from an input point set. the concept of local Delaunay triangulation is applied to speed up the reconstruction procedure and to preserve features. the proposed algorithm has running time complexity of O(n logn), where n is the number of points. Additionally, the local Delaunay triangulation improves the memory efficiency of the proposed method compared to global Delaunay-based methods. We introduced the concept of minimum circum-radius triangle to select the prime-triangle in the local Delaunay mesh. Based on the local projection and minimum circum-radius, our triangle selection criteria ensures the output mesh will be free from non-manifold edges and fold-over triangles. On top of that, we have provided the theoretical correctness of the proposed algorithm withthe assumption of epsilon-sampling model. the experimental results show that the proposed method is capable of producing high fidelity meshes from large real-world non-uniform data. We also show the effectiveness of the proposed method compared to the state-of-the-art methods in terms of visual and quantitative analysis. (c) 2021 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

this research was conducted to explore user needs and an effective design interaction based on user interface principle and the needs of both disabled and non-disabled people. this study proposes an effective design of mobile application for providing public facilities for persons with disabilities called BisaGo. the data were collected from an online survey to get the user requirements about design and information. the evaluation was done using usability testing, and interview sessions. the result shows that there are three groups of user needs toward this application, i.e: general needs, primary needs, and special needs. Also, the evaluation shows that the simple design is enough to represent the user needs with an average score of 8.05. However, the design can be improved to make it more attractive.
