Adaptive interface has become one of the possible ways to consider a variety of users characteristic in managing the design process. By focusing on the skill of each user, this research showed the beginner-advanced user model of adaptive design can be able to recover the incapability of universal design. the study is objected to look up a new paradigm of universal designthat should meet an adaptive design based on users skill characteristics, supported by eye-tracking evaluation. We develop a model of an interface design by using a case study of Student Centered E-Learning Environment (SCELE) Faculy of computer Science, Universitas Indonesia with rapid contextual design (RCD) methodology. By using Eye Tribe tool, the proposed model proved the significance of beginner and advanced users' model through the differences behavior while doing the task. Based on the result, we conclude that adaptive design can be developed based on users skill characteristics over a universal design.

Nowadays, installations of photovoltaic modules are done in residential households to help the consumers to save energy and cut expenses. this study aims to design a smart net metering controller for a dual axis photovoltaic system with energy management capabilities. Using a smart controller which is responsible for the dual-axis solar tracking system that rotates from the x and y axis through detection of light using four light dependent resistors (LDR) to locate the position where the sunlight is more extensive for greater solar power generation. It is also responsible for the energy management system which displays the voltage, current and power on a graphical user interface (GUI) and the data that was measured is transferred wirelessly through a Bluetooth device.

Security is rarely single-dimensional and is in most practical instances a tradeoff between dependent, and occasionally conflicting goals. the simplest method of multi-criteria optimization and games with vector-valued payoffs, is transforming such games into ones with scalar payoffs, and looking for Pareto-optimal behavior. this usually requires an explicit weighting of security goals, whereas practice often only lets us rank security goals in terms of importance, but hardly admits a crisp numerical weight being assigned. Our work picks up the issue of optimizing security goals in descending order of importance, coming to the computation of an optimal solution w.r.t. lexicographic orders. this is interesting in two ways, as it (i) is theoretically nontrivial since lexicographic orders do not generally admit representations by continuous utility functions, hence render Nash's classical result inapplicable, and (ii) practically relevant since it avoids ambiguities by subjective (and perhaps unsupported) importance weight assignments. We corroborate our results by giving numerical examples, showing a method to design zero-sum games with a set of a-priori chosen Nash equilibria. this simple instance of mechanism design may be of independent interest.

In advanced nodes, routing has become more and more complicated. the ISPD-2018 and ISPD-2019 Initial Detailed Routing Contests [10][11] were held to bridge the detailed routing gap between academia and industry by releasing benchmarks using industry tool and libraries. the industry-standard LEF/DEF-based benchmark suite has inspired a new generation of large-scale academic implementations of detailed routing frameworks considering complex design rules. At the same time, efforts such as the OpenROAD [1] and the IEEE CEDA DATC Robust design Flow (RDF) [3][8] projects aim to provide full RTL-to-GDS flows as the basis for academic research and improved academic-industry interfaces;the former project is moreover developed as open source. In these efforts, routing is clearly one of the most important stages. the ICCAD-2019 LEF/DEF-based open-source global routing contest revisits the global routing topic treated in the ISPD-2007 and ISPD-2008 contests [12][13], encouraging researchers to contribute open-source global routers that are industry-proven and well-correlated in advanced-node designs.

MOOCs are quite well-known internationally. the development of the MOOC has even taken place rapidly in various countries. However, MOOCs in Indonesia do not seem to be popular or growing. this study aims to evaluate one of MOOC platforms, edX, in the Indonesian context involving 279 participants mostly from Jabodetabek (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi). the evaluation is only done on free courses, and is based on instructional design and interaction design principles: Gagne's Nine Levels of Learning and Chickering, Gamson's Seven Principles of Good Practice in Undergraduate Education, and Shneiderman's Eight Golden Rules of the Interface design. the results of this study indicate that assessing performance (Gagne's Nine Levels of Learning) and emphasizing time on task (Chickering and Gamson's Seven Principles of Good Practice in Undergraduate Education) have not been fully implemented by edX. Alternative design recommendations are proposed to improve the edX website based on the principles that have not been met.

this paper presents a project-based research study using Oriole-a custom-made plug-in for robotic motion control solutions in grasshopper 3D visual programming environment. Oriole is a parametric tool that enables users/designers to design robotic motion-paths, based on the notion of keyframing and animation. Using Oriole, designers are able to simulate-and ultimately develop robotic movements in more intuitive free-form ways. Using Rhino 3D as a digital modeling platform and Grasshopper 3D and its robotic simulation platforms for different industrial robots such as KUKA, ABB, and Universal, Oriole enables designers to create a precise interaction between the robot, its spatial "performance" and the physical environment through animation.

Withthe growing awareness to learn deeper about Islam and Quran, there is an increasing trend to learn the Arabic language in Indonesia. While many institutions offer onsite learning platform to learn Arabic, the need for technology-based e-learning Arabic course is increasing as technology in Indonesia advances. the e-learning approach has to be based upon the needs of users to ensure the learning is effective. this study aims to design an online e-learning basic Arabic course using user-centered design (UCD) approach. the methodology employed in this study is mixed methods. the study covers requirements gathering, create design solution, prototyping, and evaluation. Gagne's nine instructional events are used as a theoretical basis for designing Instructional design. Evaluation is done by referring to usability testing method. this study results in an e-learning Arabic course interface that stemmed from user needs and instructional design. the final output has 17 features out of 34 identified user needs.
