Online courses have potential to reach broader audience when compared to traditional learning methods, as they can be made instantly available to groups of students dispersed over wide range of locations and time zones. Some learning topics are easily adopted to this online environment, while others may be challenging to implement as online courses due to their specific requirements and associated cost. If mastering certain topic requires hands-on experience then online course must be made interactive to match the experience of a traditional instructor-led class. Otherwise, online course will be perceived as unsatisfactory and lacking positive impact. computeraideddesign (CAD) training requires both high performance graphics Processing Unit (GPU) and hands-on experience with specific CAD software. Boththese requirements are difficult to meet on a remote student computer without additional cost. In this paper, grouping CAD workstations into cells is proposed in order to perform required graphics processing using existing hardware and software resources available in an average CAD laboratory. Proposed cell framework uses video capture and GPU hardware encoding to stream the content to the remote students while capturing their interactive feedback for the near real-time hands-on experience. the framework requires single capture card per cell and utilizes 20% of the resources for the cell overhead processing. Remaining 80% of workstations are fully available to the online students and instructors.

In this paper we review the overall process for the design, development, and deployment of "What I See Is What You Get", an experiential installation that creates live interactive visuals, by analyzing human facial expressions and behaviors, accompanied by text generated using Machine Learning algorithms trained on the art collection of the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles. the project is developed by students and faculty in an academic environment and exhibited at the Getty Museum. We also study the pedagogical process implemented to address the curriculum's learning outcomes in an "applied" environment while designing a contemporary new media art piece. Special attention is paid to the level and quality of the interaction between users and the piece, demonstrating how advances in technology and computing such as Deep Learning and Natural Language Processing can contribute to deeper connections and new layers of interactivity.

Based on many years of experience in the development and implementation of systems of continuous monitoring of transport infrastructure facilities, the authors have designed an architecture that allows the most efficient and rational arrangement of such systems. the paper notes the need for and importance of universalizing the development, design and implementation of technical diagnostics and monitoring systems of transport infrastructure facilities. It also gives detailed description of universal monitoring system architecture, as well as a roadmap for the development of universal hardware and software platform for this system. Main components of monitoring systems are de-fined. Recommendations are given to be followed when developing the monitoring systems. It is emphasized that a monitoring system can and should be built to make “energy management” possible through minimization of both energy consumption for implementation of operating procedures and reduction of the carbon footprint from the transport infrastructure facilities. Monitoring systems should be a means that help to build highly immune and energy efficient “green” transport infrastructure facilities.
