In this paper, we describe the development of automatic drafting functions for men's and women's pants, which have three new features for educational purposes: (1) Step mode for explaining the drafting order;(2) guidance for displaying drafting details and usage procedures;and (3) mechanism for displaying class references. the slopers are well-adapted to many different sizes since their dimensions are determined with reference to 1D and 3D body measurements of 28 third-year university students. We have made experimental use of the slopers for beginner level students (straight pants), intermediate level students (wide pants) and advanced level students (originally-designed pants). the feasibility and effectiveness of these newly developed automatic drafting functions have been proven on the basis of drafting results and evaluations submitted by the beginner level and intermediate level students, and drafting results, fitting and corrections by the advanced level students.

Multi-voltage technique is an effective way of power saving in system-on-a-chip ( SoC) designs. However, as the technology nodes continue to shrink, the voltage drop constraint in multiple power domains presents serious obstacles in power/ground ( P/G) network design of wire-bonding package. In this paper, a voltage drop aware power pad assignment and floorplanning method for multi-voltage SoC designs is proposed. In order to reduce the voltage drop, we develop a fast method to calculate the location of power pad for each power domain based on the spring model. During floorplanning iterations, a static voltage drop analysis is performed to update the voltage drop distribution, and then number of violation nodes in the P/G network is obtained. To speed up the floorplanning algorithm, instead of time-consuming matrix computation to obtain voltage drops, we use the weighted distance from blocks to power pads as an optimization objective. Experimental results on GSRC benchmark suites indicate that the proposed approach generates an optimized placement of power pads and floorplanning of blocks.

Voronoi diagram (VD) is an extensively studied geometric entity since it has applications in fields such as computergraphics, computer vision, geometric modeling etc. In this paper, an algorithm for computing the VD of a set of planar freeform closed convex curves has been developed, without approximating the curves using points or lines. Algorithms for VD predominantly lie on computing the bisectors, a geometrically complex and a high degree curve even for inputs of low degree. Hence, a lot of processing is required to compute bisector segments that contribute to VD as well as in the computation of branch points. In this paper, it has been shown that computation of a branch point is possible without first computing either the bisector or segments of it. the algorithm uses the minimum antipodal discs (MADs) for all pairs of curves. three touch discs (TTD) (circles touching three curves) are computed only for a specific set of three curves. Decision criteria for a TTD to become a branch disc (BD, i.e. empty TTD) have been addressed without using explicit curve containment check. Local computations of Voronoi segments are then done. the algorithm gives all branch points via centers of the branch discs along withthe segments of curves that will contribute to VD. Results of implementation are provided along with analysis of the algorithm.
