Usability has become an extremely relevant aspect that must be considered in the development of any software product. If usability is not considered, then there is a high probability that its users will reject the application. A software product is destined to fail in a highly competitive environment such as the current one, depending on its capability to be understood, learned, and attractive to its users. For this reason, a set of usability evaluation methods have been developed that allow specialists to systematically determine whether graphical interfaces are usable. Among the methods that exist, one of the most used due to its simplicity and low demand for resources is the usability assessment questionnaire. However, most of the questionnaires that have been designed are intended to be answered by end-users of the application. In contrast to this paradigm, in a previous work, a questionnaire was developed and designed that can be used by specialists in Human-computer Interaction. this new questionnaire involves a set of 60 items with which it is possible to verify if the interfaces of a software product fulfill aspects that make them usable. In this study, the new questionnaire was employed to evaluate the usability of the main Peruvian E-Government Websites. the intention of this scientific article is to serve as a source for future improvement of the websites and to serve at a methodological level so that specialists can widely use the evaluation instrument and the conduction process that has been carried out in this research.

the paper presents a system designed to improve the mobility of patients for transfer operations with a high degree of independence from a caregiver;as such the proposed system consists of a mobility device and a 3D camera that scans the environment from possible hazards and, if needed, take over the control to actively avoid them. the paper is focused on the integration of a machine vision system with a mobility device, with a special care for the design of the dual input subassembly, that has to retain the ability of being human-controllable and also to accept the machine-computed corrections. For this purpose, a custommade compliant linkage was designed, in which the degree of compliance might be adjusted in concordance withthe level of control the patient is able to accomplish. the paper also briefly discusses the possibility of integration of other means of human input systems, more useful for people with an even higher degree of disability than the hypothesized use case scenario, presumed challenges and possible solutions.

In Art and design education, it is challenging to teach basic design courses for freshmen. On one hand, freshmen have a very limited knowledge base, and the transition process from high school to college education patterns may take a long time (and vary on a individual basis). On the other hand, teaching design course requires train abstract insight and designthinking and demands extensive hands-on practice. Future designers need to acquire creation in their curriculum to feel equipped to address design challenges in their career. this paper focuses course design and active learning strategies in basic design courses to increase freshmen' motivation to engage in professional learning. Different from traditional studies where the major focus is basic knowledge teaching and skill training, the course strategies follow the principle of liberal arts, thinking first, and interesting, withthe aim to keep the interests of the freshmen and to avoid the creation of frustration in their early studies. the project activities were mainly performed in Art and design department of Beijing City University. It summarizes course design strategies and share feedback from the students and lessons learned. the results highlight that designed courses increases art and design freshmen' interests in profession learning. these findings show the importance of course design model in design courses to empower future designers to address complex problems challenges through design and innovation.

To improve the authenticity of objects in virtual reality, this study explores the sound of ASMR (Autonomous sensory meridian response) to link the common senses and enhance the authenticity of virtual objects. the synesthesia associated with visual and auditory triggers ASMR leads to the haptic connection. this study created a synesthesia scene set up with two sound designs: the ASMR and general stereo sound. the pre-and post-measurement experiment of one group was applied in this research. the ITQ immersion experience as a measurement tool to test 53 junior college students. they filled out a questionnaire immediately after experiencing the virtual reality scene. the authors used SPSS as a statistical tool to compare the differences between the two sound configuration versions according to the paired sample t-test. the results showed that there is no significant difference between the two versions of sound effects in virtual cognition, sensory linkage, virtual reality, and self-exploration. the positive immersive experience was slightly better in ASMR sound effects than in general stereo sound placed in virtual reality.
